Tour Itinerary

This 11-day vacation includes a choice of centrally located hotels in all three cities, services of a Local Host, and half-day sightseeing tours with a Local Guide (including headsets). In Rome, visit St. Peter’s Basilica and Square, the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. In Florence, visit Michelangelo’s David, the cathedral, and Signoria Square; and in Venice, see St. Mark’s Basilica and Square, Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, and watch a glassblower’s demonstration. All transfers between the cities will be operated by the Eurostar train (first-class). Various optional excursions will be available.

Day 1: Board your overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 2: Rome, Italy.
Arrive in Rome. Balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Rome.
Morning guided sightseeing including headsets, visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Square and Basilica, the Colosseum and Roman Forum. (B)

Day 4: Rome.
Full day at leisure. (B)

Day 5: Rome–Florence.
Travel to Florence by Eurostar train (first-class); transfers from/to hotels are included. (B)

Rome: Claridge, A charming standard stylish modern hotel with 95 rooms, located in Parioli, one of Rome’s most exclusive residential areas, close to the verdant avenues of Villa Borghese Park. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have private bath, satellite TV, phone, and minibar. The hotel has an American bar and spacious sitting areas.

Florence: NH Firenze, An elegant first-class, air-conditioned hotel with 152 rooms, superbly located near the historic heart of the city. Tastefully decorated rooms have private bath, cable TV, phone, and minibar. The “Carlton” restaurant serves international menus and typical renowned Tuscan cuisine.

Venice: Principe (Tue. dep.), Overlooking the Grand Canal, this standard welcomes guests with Venetian decor enhanced by modern comfort. All 139 rooms are fitted with air-conditioning, satellite TV, safe, and minibar. The dining room opens onto the terrace during the summer, an ideal spot to enjoy the magic and charm of Venice.

Venice: Boscolo Bellini (Sat. dep.), A standard and elegant hotel located by the Grand Canal, only 100 yards from the Santa Lucia train station. It is housed in an 18th-century building with refined and luxurious decor. The 97 air-conditioned and comfortable rooms have private bath, cable TV, safe, and minibar.
