ITINERARY
Day 1 - Hanoi
Arrive Hanoi and check in to your centrally located hotel in the heart of the city.

Day 2 - Hanoi
Today’s sightseeing in the city includes the impressive Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 as a shrine to Confucius. The evening is free to enjoy on your own. Meals B,L

Day 3 - Hanoi / Ha Long Bay
Travel to Ha Long Bay, one of the most scenic areas in the world – a vast bay filled with more than 3,000 limestone peaks. Spend a day and a half on the Bai Tho Junk, a traditional Vietnamese boat, sailing through the stupendous scenery. Overnight on board, in comfortable air-conditioned cabins with private bath. Enjoy dinner this evening in the boat’s intimate dining room. Meals B,L,D

Day 4 - Ha Long Bay / Danang / Hoi An
This morning explore more of Ha Long Bay before you disembark and return to Hanoi for your flight to Danang. Upon arrival, drive to Hoi An, seeing China Beach and Marble Mountain en route. Check in to your beautiful resort, on the golden sands of Cua Dai Beach, just 10 minutes from Hoi An Town. Meals B,D

Day 5 - Hoi An
This city was once a port of call for Chinese, Japanese, and Dutch sea merchants. Today’s sightseeing reveals this colorful legacy, including original Chinese temples and stately homes built by these wealthy traders of earlier times. Visit a local school and explore a city market, before a cooking class at the Brother’s Café, a wonderful restaurant located in a charming old residence in the heart of “Ancient Town.”

Day 6 - Hoi An / Hue
Travel to Hue for an overview tour of this ancient capital city, founded in the 1700’s. Your accommodations in Hue are in a charming turn-of-the-century Colonial hotel built by the French. Meals B

Day 7 - Hue
Today’s sightseeing explores more sites in this Old Imperial City, including the Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang and Thien Mu Pagoda, an impressive 7-story octagonal tower. Enjoy a river boat excursion to the Y Thao Garden House and then have dinner with a local family. Meals B,D

Day 8 - Hue / Ho Chi Minh City
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon). Comprehensive touring showcases many architectural and historic highlights including the former Presidential Palace, Cho Lon Market and Thien Hau Temple. Enjoy delicious Vietnamese cuisine at this evening’s dinner. Your accommodations are in a contemporary hotel close to the heart of the city’s bustling Chinatown. Meals B,D

Day 9 - Ho Chi Minh City
Begin the day with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson. Later, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the formidable underground complex built by guerilla fighters and used throughout the Vietnam War. Then, visit a local farmer to learn about the traditional methods used to make rice paper. Return to Ho Chi Minh City for a free evening. Meals B,L

Day 10 - Ho Chi Minh City / Can Tho
Travel to Can Tho, a city in the Mekong Delta, surrounded by a network of rivers and canals. Enjoy overnight accommodations in a colonial-style hotel on the banks of the Hau River. Meals B

Day 11 - Can Tho / Ho Chi Minh City / Siem Reap
Experience life in the Mekong Delta firsthand, with a boat journey to the bustling Cai Rang and Phong Dien Floating Markets. Later, transfer to Saigon for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, transfer to your luxurious accommodations for a delightful 3-night stay. Meals B

Day 12 - Temples & Sites of Angkor
Angkor is one of the most significant archaeological complexes in Southeast Asia – a sprawling forested site containing the ruins of the capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th through 15th centuries. Today you explore Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Empire, and spectacular Angkor Wat. Then visit Phnom Bakheng to view the sunset over Angkor. Meals B,L

Day 13 - Temples & Sites of Angkor
Tour the 11th century Chau Say Tevoda and the pristine Ta Phrohm temple. Also visit Artisans d’Angkor, established to teach traditional Khmer arts, including stone and wood carving. This evening, gather for a festive Farewell Dinner. Meals B,D

Day 14 - Siem Reap
