Tour Itinerary

Spend the most magical of holidays in the beautiful river city of San Antonio, Texas. Tour historic sites such as Market Square, Mission San Jose, and the Alamo, and enjoy a festive cruise along one of San Antonio's most popular attractions—the River Walk! Journey into Texas' rugged Hill Country and explore the cowboy life at the Silver Spur Guest Ranch. Visit the LBJ Ranch, tour a vineyard, and conclude in Luckenbach, the town celebrated in song by country singers Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.
Day 1: San Antonio.
Welcome to San Antonio, a river city full of cultural heritage. This evening, meet your traveling companions and Tour Director at a 6 pm welcome reception. (WR)

Day 2: San Antonio.
San Antonio has always been a crossroads and a meeting place. This morning’s city tour features historic sites such as Market Square, Mission San Jose, and the ALAMO—the most famous landmark in Texas, where Davy Crockett died during the valiant attempt to hold off the Mexican army. This afternoon there will be time to explore one of San Antonio’s jewels, the “River Walk,” stretching approximately two-and-a-half miles and peppered with sidewalk cafés, boutiques, and restaurants. This evening, enjoy a CRUISE along the festively illuminated River Walk before dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 3: San Antonio. Day at a Dude Ranch.
Today, head to Bandera, “Cowboy Capital of the World,” and visit SILVER SPUR GUEST RANCH. Learn about life on the ranch from a Texas cowboy; take a hayride to feed the longhorn; and enjoy a trick roping performance and perhaps even try your hand at roping! For lunch, get your first taste of the delicious food served at the ranch—from Texas-style brisket, BBQ chicken and beef, chicken-fried steak, rope sausage, and all the fixins! (B,L)

Day 4: San Antonio. Excursion to Hill Country.
Journey to Stonewall, Texas, where you will learn about the life and legacy of the 36th president, Lyndon B. Johnson, on a tour of the Texas White House, also known as the LBJ RANCH. Next, visit BECKER VINEYARDS, one of the most respected winemakers in the area, for a tour and tasting of Texas’ vintages. Your final stop today is Luckenbach, made famous by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. Time to explore this Western town and its 1849 General Store before returning to San Antonio. This evening your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner. Wonderful conversation and cuisine make the perfect finale for your vacation. (B,D)

Day 5: San Antonio.
The vacation ends today with guests departing on individual schedules. Airport transfers are provided. (B)
