Start your Jewels of the Aegean cruise vacation in Athens, Greece. Enjoy a morning orientation of Athens, Greece’s capital, before boarding your cruise ship to set sail in the deep blue Aegean Sea. Although there are plenty of activities on board to keep you entertained on your cruise, such as sunbathing and sipping cool drinks, you also enjoy stops along the way. On the windmill-dotted island of Mykonos, you have time to wander through the narrow paved streets lined with trendy boutiques and shady tavernas. Stop in the Turkish port of Kusadasi, Heraklion on the island of Crete, Santorini (weather permitting), and the tiny Greek island of Patmos, where St. John the Divine wrote the Revelation. The 11th-century monastery with its valuable manuscript collection is well worth a visit. Also, cruise to the historic island of Rhodes and explore the sights in the historic Old City with its ramparts and palaces built by the Knights of St. John during the Crusades. Rhodes also offers beaches and shopping within easy walking distance of the port. Your trip ends back in Athens. What an unforgettable Aegean Sea cruise vacation!

Day 1: (Sat.) Board your overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 2: Arrival in Athens, Greece.
(Sun.) Time to rest or to start exploring the Hellenic capital. At 6 pm, meet your Athens Host and traveling companions for a welcome drink.

Day 3: Athens–Piraeus (Embarkation)–Mykonos.
(Mon.) Morning orientation drive in Athens before heading for Pireaus. Around 11 am, sail into the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea, easily settling into the cruising routine of sunbathing, sipping cool drinks, splashing in the pool, and reveling in the delights prepared by the ship’s expert chefs. Later, dock at the mountainous island of Mykonos with its characteristic windmills and dazzling white houses. Time to wander at whim through narrow paved streets lined with trendy boutiques and shady tavernas before returning on board. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Cruising.
(Tue. to Thu.) Enjoy your cruise to Mykonos, Kusadasi (Turkey), Patmos, Rhodes, Heraklion and Santorini (weather permitting). Optional excursions are available to Ephesus, Lindos, and Knossos. (B,L,D)

Day 5: Cruising.

Day 6: Cruising.

Day 7: Piraeus (Disembarkation)–Athens.
