Tour Highlights

Tour Itinerary

DAYS 1 - 3, Tuesday - Thursday - Kuwait City, Kuwait
Observe graceful old Arab dhows anchored in the harbor, as they have been for centuries, sharing the waters with fishermen and pearl divers. Discover the city\'s university, palatial homes and housing projects, which meld modern architecture with timeless landscapes. At the Tareq Rajab Museum, see a superb collection of Islamic art, and get a personal perspective on the oil business with an exclusive visit to the Kuwait Oil Display Center Museum.

DAYS 4 - 6, Friday - Sunday - Manama, Bahrain
Bahrain, long known for its pearls, is one of the most important crossroads in the Middle East and site of important archaeological treasures. On the principal island, excavations reveal civilizations dating from 3,000 B.C. Visit the Bahrain Fort, which stands testament to the former presence of a large, ancient city. In the National Museum, discover precious relics and thousands of burial mounds, which made up the world\'s largest necropolis.

DAYS 7 and 8, Monday and Tuesday - Doha, Qatar
Doha, the capital city of Qatar, features an intriguing blend of Oriental, Arabic and contemporary architecture. We will visit important historical sites in North Qatar, including Umm Salal Mohammed and Qalit Marir Fortress (Al Zubara).

DAYS 9 - 11, Wednesday - Friday - Muscat, Oman
From the National Museum to the Al Alam Palace and the twin forts of Jalali, Muscat is filled with fascinating history and culture. Explore Nizwa, capital of the interior, where we will attend an authentic cattle auction and bargain for treasures at traditional souks. At the Birkat Al Mauz, explore a flourishing date plantation and sample some of the desert\'s most beloved fruit.

DAYS 12 - 15, Saturday - Tuesday - Dubai, U.A.E.
In Dubai, visit the Bastakia District for a glimpse of old Dubai. Discover the wind tower houses originally built by wealthy merchants, and explore the Dubai Museum, with its life-size dioramas depicting traditional Arabian life. Ride on a traditional wooden \'abra\' boat, and enjoy time to explore the spice and gold souks. On a journey inland, savor beautiful desert landscapes, camel rides and a falconry show on a four-wheel-drive safari. In the city of Sharjah, explore the museum and beautifully restored heritage sites that embody Arabic culture - and experience daily life at the fish market and souks along the port and coastline.
