Next, travel to Fairbanks, Alaska’s second-largest city, and cruise on the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Visit the University of Alaska–Fairbanks Museum on your city tour, and stop at the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Then, head to Dawson City and see breathtaking scenery along the way. Step back in time at Claim #1, where the first gold strike was made, and continue to an old gold dredge to learn how gold changed Alaska and to try your hand at gold panning. Tour on the First Nations’ traditions and culture over the past 100 years at the Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre. In Whitehorse, visit the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre, the SS Keno Riverboat, and the Uncommon Journeys’ dogsled facilities. Travel through rugged Kluane National Park, home to 19,625–foot Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak.
