Day 1 - San Pedro Sula / Explore Copán

Transfer to the fist class Copán Marina Hotel. After lunch, join your personal guide to explore Copán, the magnificent ruins of a major Mayan Kingdom of the Classic Era. Your in-depth visit through this amazing archaeological site reveals elaborately carved stelae, some of the very finest examples of ancient Mesoamerican art.

Day 2 - Explore the Region of Copán

This morning’s privately guided tour takes you to the Maya Sculpture Museum and Las Sepulturas, a smaller archaeological site where the ruins of an ancient Mayan residential quarter have revealed much about the daily lives of its long-ago inhabitants. After lunch, enjoy a horseback riding tour to Hacienda San Lucas, stopping to visit Los Sapos, an isolated archaeological site overlooking the scenic Copán valley. Meals B,L

Day 3 - Copán / San Pedro Sula / Tela

Travel this morning to Finca Santa Isabel to visit a coffee plantation. Your guided walk along meandering trails reveals the full process of shade-grown coffee, from the nursery to the final roasting. Enjoy lunch by a forest waterfall and continue on to the tranquil Caribbean village of Tela. Check-in to the lovely Villas Telamar Resort overlooking the sea. Meals B,L

Day 4 - Tela / La Ceiba

Join your guide to explore Punta Sal National Park, set on a rocky peninsula with pristine beaches, a lush jungle, and an offshore coral reef. Then travel to La Ceiba for an overnight at the Lodge at Pico Bonito. Meals B,L

Day 5 - La Ceiba

After breakfast, check-out of the Lodge and visit the Butterfly Farm for a delightful morning walk along its scenic trails. Then visit the Snake House before continuing on to the airport in La Ceiba for your onward journey. Meals B

Overlooking the Central Plaza in the idyllic town of Copan Ruinas, Honduras, the Hotel Marina Copan has been “home” to those seeking the Mayan culture and environment for more than 50 years.
