Day 1 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Check-in to the Miramar Palace, a terrific first-class hotel with an unbeatable location overlooking world famous Copacabana Beach.

Day 2 - A FreeStyle Day in Rio

General Tours flexible and unique FreeStyle Day lets you customize your Rio stay with the included excursion of your choice:

• City Tour & Sugarloaf: Travel through the bustling streets of Rio to see the highlights. Then ascend by cable car to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain, where Rio’s sparkling crescent of beaches comes fully into view and the city is spread before you.
• Corcovado & Christ the Redeemer: Towering over Rio is the imposing statue of Christ the Redeemer – arms spread, protecting the city below. Ascend 2,400 feet by train to the top of Mt. Corcovado to visit this 100-foot tall landmark and enjoy stunning 360° panoramic views of the city.

The balance of your day is free to explore the beaches, galleries and boutiques of this exciting city. Meals B

Day 3 - Enjoy Rio!

The day is unplanned. Relax on a beach or explore on your own. General Tours staff is available with recommendations and optional tours. Meals B

Day 4 - Rio / Iguassu Falls

Fly to Iguassu where you’ll be warmly welcomed and escorted to the Recanto Park Hotel, a bright and contemporary first class hotel with a great location offering fast and easy access to the Falls. This afternoon, join your guide and venture through Brazil’s Iguassu National Park, heading down a series of walkways to great vantage points overlooking the main falls on both the Brazilian and Argentine sides. Day 5 - Iguassu Falls

Today’s Gran Aventura Boat Tour offers a fantastic overview of Iguassu, from the thunderous roar of the Falls itself to its lush jungle setting. Starting out on the Sendero Yacaratia Trail, travel by jeep deep into the verdant tropical forest as your guide offers insight into the indigenous flora and fauna. At the river’s edge, step aboard motor boats for a thrilling journey through the Iguassu River Canyon to San Martin Island. This memorable excursion promises spectacular views of Devil’s Throat and San Martin Waterfall, the largest cascade that can be approached by boat. Meals B

Day 6 - Iguassu Falls / Buenos Aires, Argentina

Fly to Buenos Aires where you’ll be greeted for your escorted transfer to the first class Americas Tower Hotel. Meals B

Day 7 - Tour Buenos Aires

The capital of Argentina presents a rich mosaic of cultures – with Spanish, Italian, German and French influences in the architecture, cuisine, and the joy-filled attitude of city residents. Your sightseeing includes Plaza de Mayo - the lively hub of the city – Avenida 9 de Julio, known as the world’s widest boulevard, and the Teatro Colon, one of the world’s premier opera houses. The rest of the day is free to explore this friendly city at your own pace. Meals B

Day 8 - Excursion to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay

Today’s full day excursion explores one of the finest Colonial cities in South America. A short and scenic boat ride brings you to Colonia del Sacramento, an historic city with a rich Portuguese and Spanish heritage that goes back more than 300 years. Marvel at the fine architecture, and stroll cobblestone streets graced by beautifully-preserved Colonial homes and fountains. After lunch, you’ll have leisure time to stroll on your own, delighting in the charm and unique ambience of this captivating town. Return to Buenos Aires, where this evening you’ll enjoy dinner and a Tango show at El Viejo Almacen. Meals B,L,D
