Tour Itinerary

The beauty of these three countries will have you reveling in vibrant colors, great spicy aromas and varied cultures that you'll want to learn more about after visiting. The beach resort area of Costa del Sol, the mountainous region of Rif, Moroccan carpets, Spanish Tapas and Portuguese cork festivals!
Day 1 - Depart USA
Overnight flight to Madrid.

Day 2 - Arrive Madrid
Welcome to Madrid, the Spanish capital city! Time to relax or explore this lively Spanish capital. Later enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and fellow traveling companions. Hotel: Rafael Atocha

Day 3 - Madrid sightseeing and at leisure
This morning our guided sightseeing tour features views of the Royal Palace, Puerta del Sol and the Cervantes Memorial. Then time at leisure to relax or perhaps take an excursion to see the Valley of the Fallen. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 4 - Madrid – Toledo – Granada
Today we travel to the ancient capital of Castile – medieval Toledo – encircled by the River Tagus. Sightseeing with a local guide along the quaint and narrow streets highlights the Church of Santo Tome, the Synagogue and a Toledo steel workshop. Then we continue into Andalusia to Moorish hilltop Granada with its spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Tonight we enjoy a Highlight dinner together. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight dinner) Hotel: Alhamar

Day 5 - Granada – Costa del Sol
This morning a local guide will take us on a tour of the exquisite Moorish Alhambra Palace with its fountain filled courtyards and stunning Mozarabic architecture. Later on to the Costa del Sol, one of the most popular holiday areas in Europe, where we’ll have the chance to dip our feet in the blue waters of the Mediterranean. This evening, dinner will be served at our hotel. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Melia Costa Del Sol

Day 6 - Costa del Sol – Fez (2 nights)
We start the day with a Mediterranean coastal drive to Tarifa for the crossing to North Africa. We continue into a different world as we enter Morocco, driving past the Rif Mountains to the imperial city of Fez, the first of our six-night stay in Africa. Tonight, why not see some Moroccan belly-dancing and enjoy a delicious dinner in superb surroundings? (Buffet breakfast) Hotel: Crown Palace

Day 7 - Fez sightseeing and at leisure
Our morning sightseeing takes in the labryrinthine Medina as well as views of the Royal Palace. Enjoy the atmosphere of this exotic city as you have time to haggle over Moroccan souvenirs. This afternoon, why not visit the imperial city of Meknes? (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Day 8 - Fez – Marrakesh (2 nights)
Today an exciting drive takes us through the foothills of the Atlas Mountains to Marrakesh, Africa’s most popular year-round sunshine resort. It was once the favorite holiday spot of the great statesman, Sir Winston Churchill. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Ryad Mogador Menara (2 nights)

Day 9 - Marrakesh sightseeing and at leisure
Our morning guided sightseeing tour with a local guide visits the Bahia Palace and stops at the vast Djemma el Fna Square with its palm readers, acrobats, camels, markets and more! Here we stop for some mint tea in a typical Morroccan tea house before bargain hunting in the souks and bazaars, or maybe take an excursion to a Berber village? (Buffet breakfast)

Day 10 - Marrakesh – Casablanca
This morning, we drive to cosmopolitan Casablanca, scene of Bogart’s most romantic moments. You’ll find some of North Africa’s best beaches and coastline here. Our sightseeing tour shows us the modern sections of the city, including the amazing mosque. Then we visit the Casbah and explore its maze of twisted streets and alleys lined with colorful and tempting stalls. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Sheraton

Day 11 - Casablanca – Rabat – Tangier
We enjoy a morning drive along the Atlantic Coast to Rabat, capital of this fascinating country. Orientation shows us the Royal Mosque, Mausoleum and the Royal Palace. Then we continue on to the resort of Tangier, where orientation reveals highlights of this interesting seaport, including the Straits of Hercules where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)Hotel: Hotel Rif

Day 12 - Tangier – Seville (2 nights)
This morning we board our ferry and cruise back to Spain across the narrow Strait of Gibraltar. Then we drive through Jerez vineyards, home of sherry, leading to Andalusia’s most beautiful city, Seville. Tonight we enjoy an authentic tapas ‘Be My Guest’ dinner in a typical bodega restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Be My Guest dinner)Hotel: Tryp Macarena

Day 13 - Seville sightseeing and at leisure
This romantic city was deeply influenced by the Moors, who dwelt in the area for 700 years. Hence the distinctive Moorish architecture of the Giralda Tower, which we see on the morning sightseeing along with the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park and its elegant pavilions built for the Hispano-American exhibition in 1929. (Buffet breakfast)

Day 14 - Seville – Lisbon (2 nights)
Today our Tour Director will show us a Hidden Treasure! But first we drive through the arid country of Estremadura to the Portuguese border and the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. Maybe spend the evening dining on Portuguese specialties whilst listening to haunting Fado melodies along the Bairro Alto. (Buffet breakfast) Hotel: Marriott

Day 15 - Lisbon sightseeing and at leisure
Morning sightseeing with our audio system highlights the medieval quarter, Vasco da Gama’s tomb inside the Hieronymite Monastery, plus views of the Belem Tower and includes a walking tour of the colorful Alfama district. The rest of your day is at leisure, perhaps to shop for pottery and fishermens’ sweaters in Cascais. Tonight join your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a Farewell Dinner to celebrate the end of our tour. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell dinner)

Day 16 - Lisbon – USA
Time to bid farewell to our fellow travelers and Tour Director as our tour comes to an end. Airport transfers are available, conditions apply. (Buffet breakfast)
