Depart this alpine wonderland and drive to Dunedin, one of the best-preserved Victorian and Edwardian cities in the Southern Hemisphere. (B)

Day 13: Dunedin–Queenstown.
Today, travel through the rugged Otago region to Queenstown. Along the way, see signs of the gold rush that boomed in the 1860s. As you near Queenstown you will pass through Central Otago, a popular wine-making region. (B)
