DAY 2, Thursday - Arrive in Reykjavik & City Tour, Village of Flúðir
Arrive in Iceland and meet your Tour Manager. Your flights should arrive between 6 and 8 AM. Transfer to Reykjavik, the world's most northerly capital, surrounded by incredible landscapes and countless natural wonders. Your tour begins with a refreshing light breakfast and orientation meeting at Bryggjan Brugghus*. Your discovery of this modern city begins with a drive past the Old Town Center, Parliament, the cathedral and the bustling harbor area. See Hofdi House, site of the 1986 Iceland Summit where Reagan and Gorbachev met to end the Cold War. Then make a stop at the Pearl vantage point for great views of the capital area and beyond. Depart from Reykjavik to the peaceful village of Flúðir nestled amidst the stillness of rural Iceland. Spend the balance of your evening at leisure*Guests that are arriving prior to day 2 or are making their own way from the Reykjavik airport should meet the group directly at Bryggjan Brugghus, Grandagarður 8, 101 Reykjavík, by 8:30 AM.

DAY 3, Friday - Full Day in Flúðir
Today is at leisure in Flúðir. Just a short walk from your hotel is the geothermal Secret Lagoon where you may choose to spend your day in the outdoor thermal pool. Or, join the optional tour of Iceland's South Coast. Driving from your hotel, admire the gorgeous mountain views including Hekla, the country's most active volcano, as well as the famous Eyjafjallajökull Volcano. Continue through the region where one of the best known of the Icelandic classical sagas, Njál's Saga, is set. Stop at the spectacular Skógafoss waterfall, tumbling over high rock escarpments. Next, continue to the charming village of Vik, with free time for lunch on your own. Then on to Dyrhólaey Nature Reserve* where you get a beautiful view of the coastline. Finish your full day excursion at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss waterfall which you can walk behind if conditions allow. Return to the hotel for time at leisure, or join the optional Farm Visit with Tasting and Dinner. You'll enjoy a farm to table dinner experience at a local Icelandic dairy farm, where you'll meet the family and gain unique insight into farm life in Iceland*Dyrhólaey Nature Reserve is closed during the nesting season (early May to late June)

DAY 4, Saturday - Gullfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir
Explore some of Iceland's most renowned natural wonders. Begin at Gullfoss (Golden Waterfall), one of the most impressive waterfalls in Europe with thousands of tons of icy water tumbling majestically into a deep gorge. Then, on to the Geysir area with its numerous hot springs, fumaroles and geysers, including the world-famous Strokkur Geysir. Watch it erupt every few minutes spewing hot water high into the air. At the remarkable geological and historical area of Þingvellir, visit the site of the world's oldest parliament founded in 930 AD, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the stunning canyon that runs through the park, stand on the dividing fault line between two of the earth's tectonic plates. Continue to Reykjavik and check into your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. This evening, join the optional Viking Feast & Entertainment. Step back to the time of the Vikings, at the Viking Village and savor a traditional three course feast with wine or beer, served in Viking-style trays

DAY 5, Sunday - Full Day in Reykjavik
Spend the day at leisure to explore Reykjavik. Or, perhaps join the optional Whale Watching tour with an opportunity to view minke whales, humpback whales, harbor porpoises and white-beaked dolphins. Gain insight into these majestic creatures from your knowledgeable guide and learn some interesting facts. In the afternoon take the optional tour to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a unique natural pool of mineral-rich geothermal water located in the middle of a lava field. Geothermal seawater is led directly to the Blue Lagoon forming wells as deep as 6,000 feet and the water stays warm at 100-110°F throughout the entire year. An indoor Blue Lagoon and geothermal sauna are also on site. The Blue Lagoon's warm water and natural ingredients of mineral salts, silica and blue green algae help you relax and escape the stress and strain of daily life. This evening, attend a reception at the hotel
