CIE ran a great tour and provided excellent service. It included many meals and activities, making the tour more enjoyable,
Driver/tour director was very helpful and courteous. He was adept at driving the twisty/turny narrow roads and had a pleasant sense of humor. The bus was comfortable and clean but there was no seat rotation. The showers in the hotels were hard to adjust but rooms were clean and quiet. I had to request an extension cord in one hotel in order to plug in my CPAP. The weather was against us the majority of the time and taking photos through rain-speckled windows in a bus sometimes traveling around 60 mph was difficult. We saw some lovely sights and met several very friendly Irish people. It was a tour with many lessons.
Too much time in a bus. Too much time at shopping events that could have been spent seeing other sites.
We had a wonderful time on our Irish Odyssey tour. We were met at the airport, even though we travelled a day earlier, and whisked to our hotel. All our accommodations were top notch hotels with the staff to go with them. We couldn't have been happier with how helpful they were, no matter where we went! The itinerary was interesting and of course the scenery was gorgeous! The venues we visited were all smooth experiences and our driver/guide, was impeccable with his scheduling and timing. His knowledge of the areas we travelled, all around the coast of Ireland, and the history of each locale, made the trip most interesting. His sense of humor peppered his commentary as we listened to him while he deftly maneuvered the bus through all parts of our visit! He was definitely an asset to this tour! Everyone welcomed us with open arms wherever we went. And we enjoyed traveling as much as they enjoyed having visitors back! The night we spent at Barberstown Castle was not enough. I wished we could have spent two nights there and then headed to the airport to go home from there, a distance of 23 miles, about the same distance as from Trim, where we spent our last night! The Castle was my favorite hotel of the whole trip! All in all, it was a wonderful trip and I highly recommend it.
It was beyond my expectations
