Tour Itinerary
Icelandic folklore maintains there are clans of elves and trolls living in the country’s extraordinary hills, rocky outcrops, and lava fields. Will you meet these “Huldufólk” or “Hidden People” said to dislike churches, daylight, and electricity? Hard to say. But here’s what you will see on this breathtaking tour of Iceland—active volcanoes, roaring waterfalls, jagged glaciers, floating icebergs, black-sand beaches, and brilliant-blue geothermal springs. Unique, local experiences await in the “Land of Fire and Ice,” including tasting piping hot bread baked by the heat from the hot springs, sipping Geysir schnapps served at freezing point, and standing in awe before the spectacular Lake Jökulsárlón, home to Europe’s largest glacier and the site of some of the most dramatic scenes from the James Bond movie Die Another Day. The gargantuan sights in the land of the elves will surely leave you stirred, not shaken.

Question: Does the Iceland tour stop at Diamond Beach?
Question: How many suitcases can I take with me on my trip?
Question: Is Airfare Included in the Price?
We are so happy we did a tour that included going completely around Iceland! There was so much to do and see, the scenery was amazing, and while on the bus we learned the history of the island. Loved every moment of it and the food was excellent too.
This itinerary allows one to really see and experience the varied lands within Iceland.
Great trip. Very enjoyable.
Our Tour guide was exceptional and the driver
This was a packed itinerary. It was one of the best trips and countries we have visited.
Iceland is a country of extremes. Where else can you see, icebergs, volcanos, geysers, glaciers, waterfalls, whales, and northern lights on one tiny Iceland? "Desolate beauty" Miles of rock but at the same point those miles are unique beauty.
Wonderful experience. Totally more than we expected!
We enjoyed our trip to Iceland thoroughly.
Absolutely fantastic, wonderful accommodations got to see local towns, extremely friendly knowledgeable guide.
Sara did a great job booking our trip and answering questions.
I felt that Globus fell short in some aspects. The hotel in Reykjavik was very far from city center. When we arrived early in the morning we were given no information about possible activities we could do until check in time. I felt we lost a full day in Reykjavik. The other hotels were delightful and areas where we stopped gave us a wonderful experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Exceeded our expectations
The tour guide & driver were excellent. The bus was new & full size.
Iceland is a very exciting place offering a lot to see and enjoy. This particular tour was great for people of a certain age, because even thought the daily walking was about 5 to 8 miles, it was not felt. I recommend this tour to all. The only remark I would like to make is for the use of toilets in the bus. There are many people who suffer at times and are unable to use the facilities only because cleaning can be a problem for the operators. That is not good at all.
Gate1 and Insight Tours both visited Dettifoss. Globus cancelled Dettifoss with the excuse that it was raining in Reykjavik, Globus bus has WiFi and the weather report was excellent sunny weather, no rain
Waterfall, volcano, waterfall, waterfall, lava field. Alrighty. Got it. The tour director was a hot mess.
Good tour and accommodations, PA system in bus scratchy & hard to understand.
The trip was wonderful but they need a dinner option for the "Japanese dinner" night. For $7,000, they should be able to find us a salad in lieu of raw fish and raw beef. The hotels were excellent. Globus needs to provide an ACCURATE hotel list. They provide the hotel list 2 weeks before the trip so when you end up at a different hotel it is difficult for family members to get in touch. I would recommend 2 nights ahead of the trip in Tokyo as well as an extra day in Osaka.
The accommodations ranged from excellent (Hilton Reykjavik and Kea in Akureyri) to horrible at the Egilsstadir. The others were what would be expected in remote areas, but fully acceptable. The Egilsstaidir should be removed from the Globus listings. Other than the bed (too large for this tiny room), the only other piece of furniture was a straight-back chair--no tables, no desk, no surface to place glasses, clocks, etc, Broken (barely usable) items were TV, commode, and faucet.
