I recently took the 9 Day Natural Wonders of Costa Rica tour with Globus. The first day on the trip was a leisure day, as most flights from the U.S. arrive at odd hours, and my fight from Houston was no exception. I arrived late in the evening around 9pm, and was met by a Globus representative after clearing customs and immigration.
When it came time to pick a trip, I chose the 10 day Best of Hawaii with Trafalgar, because it had always been my mom’s dream to go there. We were both full of expectations and ready for exciting adventures as we landed in Honolulu on Oahu Island, after an 8 hour nonstop flight from Houston.
This summer, I had the opportunity to take a tour of Cape Cod, The Islands, and Newport with Tauck. Our program began at the luxurious Lenox Hotel, a prestigious boutique hotel in the heart of Boston, where our group was each introduced to one another before going to an elegant steak dinner at Grill 23 & Bar. We had an early start the next morning, so it was very convenient that the restaurant was only a 10 minute walk to our hotel, although we took the motor coach.
Just west of my home state of Texas sits the beautiful state of New Mexico. I took a fascinating journey through this spectacular state on the New Mexico – Land of Enchantment with Tauck. My 8 day adventure began with a small disappointment but ended gloriously. Continue reading
In early December of last year, I enjoyed the unique experience of visiting the Christmas Markets along the Danube. I love river cruising because it offers an easy-paced and relaxing way to see Europe, but the cruises during the season of the Christmas Markets really ramp up my excitement. In fairy-tale settings, we were warmly embraced by locals, including artisans themselves, and they invited us to join in for the time-honored traditions of Christmas in Europe.
