The chef dusted them with confectioners’ sugar and topped them with whipped cream and fresh fruit. A few years later, he brought them to America to sell at the World Fair. 2 cups flour
¼ cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups milk
½ cup of vegetable oil
1. Spray waffle maker with oil
2. Mix the dry ingredients in one bowl together, sift if necessary
3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, and mix in milk, oil, vanilla
4. Combine dry ingredients with liquid and mix well
5. Set waffle maker to medium/ high heat and cook for around 5 minute or until golden brown
6. Top with your preferred topping- maple syrup, fruit syrup, powdered sugar, fruit, whipped cream and Nutella are all popular choices
