This 3 night Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean was a great experience for a first time cruise that was recommended by my friends and coworkers. Before this cruise, my partner had never been on a cruise, or to the Bahamas. We wanted to take a cruise with a minimal amount of days for his first experience, and we were pleasantly surprised.
Arriving in Miami for the hotel stay at the Courtyard by Marriott South Beach, the representative from Royal Caribbean was waiting with a sign for the transfer to the hotel. We did not have to wait long for the shuttle, and were taken directly to the hotel.
The Courtyard by Marriott South Beach has a modern setup. The front desk clerks were very friendly, and gave great suggestions for restaurants. The hotel has a great view of the city from the roof top, where there is seating and a pool. We liked the location, since it was within walking distance of restaurants, night clubs and the beach. Check out was quick, and there is a seating area where we were able to wait for the shuttle to the cruise.
The same shuttle arrived for the transfer to and from the cruise, which was very convenient. The luggage was also transferred to and from the cruise by the shuttle company.
Check-in for our Bahamas Cruise With Royal Caribbean was very efficient, and we were able to go to our cabin right away. Our stateroom attendant, Marvin, went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and the cabin was always cleaned promptly.
The setup of the cabin was better than we had expected, as it did not feel crowded at all. It was amazing to be able to walk out on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air. Sailing was smooth, and we slept comfortably.
On the ship, there was plenty of food to eat and a lot of options. We actually preferred the buffet to the Main Dining as there was so much more variety, as well as being more relaxed. It was also so enjoyable to just explore the ship, playing slots in the casino and going to Karaoke. There was definitely more than enough to do!
The cruise stopped in CocoCay and Nassau before returning to Miami. CocoCay was relaxing and we enjoyed the day there on the beach and the water. The umbrella was purchased for the day and was setup for us at the location we chose. The water was calm and refreshing to go in. Nassau had an option for a See and Sea Excursion, which we took. The underwater sub was amazing and such a great experience! We then returned to see a little bit of the city, and get coffee and tea at a little shop.
Great time all around and my partner is already asking when are we going again. Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean definitely impressed us, and I look forward to another cruise in the future.
