This year, my family and I took an Eastern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean. We sailed on the Oasis of the Seas out of Orlando on a 7-night journey, stopping in Philipsburg, San Juan and Labadee.
Embarkation was quick and smooth. The first 2 days were spent exploring the ship, getting to know our dining options and all the fun things to do. The ship had so many activities to choose from: rock climbing, ice skating, surfing, spas, and of course the pools.
The pool and ice-skating were my son’s favorite.
On the third day, we docked at Philipsburg, St. Maarten and we took a water taxi from the cruise terminal to Great Bay. Here, we enjoyed the sun and the blue water. There were many fun things to do – kayaking, swimming, playing on a water trampoline, and pedal a water bicycle. My son loved the water trampoline.
The next day, we were in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We decided to enjoy the sun with a relaxing day spent at VIVO Beach Club. Here, we enjoyed the freshwater swimming pools and pristine Isla Verde beach. The beach was very nice with white and soft sand, warm, and clear waters. We really enjoyed our time here!
Last stop was is Labadee, Haiti. There were several dining venues offering a selection of BBQ, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, fresh fruits and vegetables, and refreshing drinks. Also bar service is easily available throughout Labadee. Here, my son enjoyed the exciting 300 foot long Dragon’s Splash Waterslide that goes through 10 twists and turns, and ends up in the splash zone at Columbus Cove. We all enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the sun while floating over the gentle waves on a beach mat.
The last day of our Eastern Caribbean Cruise with Royal Caribbean, when we docked back in Orlando, we all disembarked feeling relaxed and better connected as a family.
We cannot wait for the next cruise!
