I had excitedly anticipated my upcoming cruise to the Western Caribbean with Celebrity on the Edge for quite some time, having heard people rave about the service, food, and spa—and I was not disappointed!

First of all, the Edge is a modern, sleek ship, decorated by Nate Berkus, so the design is quite appealing to the eye. There is beautiful artwork EVERYWHERE, and the décor fluctuates between clean minimalism and opulent sparkle.

This itinerary included Puerto Rico, Tortola and Grand Cayman. Truth be told, we were more interested in exploring the ship than the islands, since we had both already been to all three of those places.

Our first stop was the buffet—it was endless! There was cuisine from all over the world, and it was all delicious. There was even a chocolate fountain on our last sea day! Since we were in the Aqua class, our designated restaurant for lunch and dinner was Blu. I can’t say enough about this place. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable, so we ate dinner there every night—steaks, lobster tails, whatever our hearts desired!

The ship is beautiful—from the Grand Plaza, to the Garden of Eden, which they call “a room that lives” for its mixture of nature with architecture. The solarium is gorgeous, and the entertainment and shopping were out of this world. Every night we would head to the club for some dancing, and then hit the buffet for a midnight snack before bedtime.

Some nights there was live music on the Rooftop Garden, and we would go relax and sit amongst the beautiful greenery.

We had been upgraded to the Aqua Class, so we had full access to the Thermal Spa. The spa space is beautifully decorated as well, and so serene! The Thermal Spa included a Hamam, Salt room, Aromatherapy room, sauna, and heated tile chairs that were perfect for relaxing and even napping in. We took advantage of the spa almost every day, and felt renewed and refreshed!

The Edge has one unique feature called the Magic Carpet. It is a section of the ship that moves up and down, depending on the time of day. There is a bar on this space, and it is a great place to meet people and take in some different views of the beautiful ocean.

Basically, we ate and relaxed the entire cruise to the Western Caribbean with Celebrity, and it was exactly what I needed. I got off the ship feeling like a new woman. I recommend everyone take advantage of this beautiful ship!
