I had the opportunity to go on the Celebrity Summit couple years ago for a short cruise but wanted to try a Southern Caribbean with Celebrity cruise itinerary out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Celebrity Summit was also full renovated in 2019! What a beautiful job they did! The cabins have a nice new look and are quite comfortable! Plenty of space so you can fully unpack and enjoy the cruise!

On the first night, Celebrity was offering discounted price for their specialty dining restaurant Qsine. If you have been to this restaurant before the renovation, it is now completely different! They call it now Le Petit Chef, a very different and innovative experience! The entire dining experience is through a 3D table animation form and the menu created by a Michelin Star Chef…Loved it so much that I went back the last day of the cruise!

First stop was in Tortola. Decided to go venture on my own, do a little shopping and relax on the beach!

People are very welcoming and a very nice cab driver took my friends and me to a beautiful beach for the afternoon to enjoy some sun and some local food.

Next day we arrived in St Marteen! From there, we had decided to get an excursion to St Bart.

It is about an hour boat ride from St Marteen to St Bart and once you arrive you are on your own for a few hours until it is time to get back. We got to walk around the Marina, enjoy some French food and check out the beautiful beach nearby. Then time to head back to St Marteen to get back on the ship!

The following day we arrived in Roseau, Dominica! We got some rain in the morning so we decided to take it easy and relax on the ship until the weather cleared a bit. In the afternoon we went to walk around town and checked out a local market. Very colorful town where the buildings are all different colors…so pretty! And of course as any Caribbean Island…people are so welcoming!

After another great day on a beautiful island we enjoyed another great evening on the ship with a great dinner and a little dancing afterwards!

From there the ship got us to Barbados! We didn’t any excursions because we had the opportunity to tour the Sandals Royal Barbados resort. What a beautiful property! Located right next to the already existing Sandals Barbados, both resorts are adult only guests. It is on a beachfront property and has multiple pools, bars and restaurants. It also has a bowling alley! Surrounded by an amazing landscaping with a wild variety of flowers, these 2 properties are very popular for honeymooners or couples celebrating an anniversary.

The last island to visit was Grenada! We booked the River Tubing excursion in the Grand Etang Rainforest Reserve…what a blast!! I had never done it before and I am so glad I got to experience it in Grenada! We did have some rain which made it a bit rougher than usual but the guys helping were so helpful and so reassuring!! Grenada sure is a beautiful island…even under the rain! It would be definitely an island I would love to go back to.

The evening was also enjoyable with Lobster night and yet another amazing dinner followed by a little play time in the casino!

Last day of the cruise was at Sea! So yes I slept in…might as well enjoy the comfortable bed and relax for the last day before heading back home! We did want to try Celebrity’s specialty dining Sushi On Five for lunch and what a treat!! Deliciousness!

After an afternoon by the pool with some tasty tropical cocktails it was time to get ready for dinner and enjoy for a second time Qsine. The second experience was just as good as the first one! It is for sure a restaurant I would recommend to everyone! They even have special times during the cruise for families with a 3D experience specifically designed for kids!

Last evening on the ship means last walk on the deck to enjoy the sunset, but it was actually probably one of the best evenings that week!  The moon over the water was just breathtaking!

Unfortunately my Southern Caribbean with Celebrity cruise has to come to an end! Until the next one…but I already know when that is…next Celebrity cruise is already booked! Can’t wait…
