Simple Tips for a Smooth Trip

One of the best parts of going on a tour is everything is pre-planned, so you don’t have to organize hotels, itineraries or transportation yourself.  Since all the stress of planning your vacation is taken care of, you can focus on preparing yourself for a smooth trip! These simple tips are your guide to a more relaxing trip.

Take Care Of Yourself

All the excitement before your trip may change your regular dining and sleeping routine, which could affect your immune system. Take steps to be healthy so you won’t be sick on your vacation. In the nights leading up to your vacation, make sure you are getting plenty of rest. Eating plenty and fruits and veggies, drinking water and doing some light exercising will help keep you healthy.

Pack Well

Research the weather and activities on your itinerary before packing. This will help you determine all the proper clothing and shoes to bring with you. Also, check any updates on the TSA website on what you are allowed to pack in your carry on. That way, you will get through airport security fast and you won’t be at risk for getting your favorite shampoo confiscated. If you are planning on checking a suitcase, tie a colorful ribbon to the handle so you can quickly identify your bag on the carousal. The most important thing is to gather all your travel documents, passports, and IDs and keep them in a safe place.

Don’t Rush

Leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport. For international flights, make sure you get to the airport 3 hours before your scheduled flight time. If you are planning on driving to airport and parking at an offsite lot, make sure you account for that extra travel time. Check traffic websites to see if you need to make any detours on the way to the airport.

Call Your Bank

Letting your bank know where and when you will be traveling will help negate the possibility of your cards getting declined away from home. Always bring an emergency ATM card or cash so you will always have access to money. Always make sure you go through your credit card statements as soon as you get home so you can report any fraudulent charges.

Traveling is a pleasant and relaxing way to transition into your vacation. A little preparation goes a long way towards a smoother trip. Enjoy your travel experience even more by following our tips. Did we forget your favorite travel tip? Comment below or let us know on Facebook.
