Several weeks ago, we traveled along the fabled Danube River on the Danube Waltz with Viking Bragi-Norse God of poetry & music. As it turned out, this was the perfect name for the ship. The Danube Waltz itinerary was a true feast for all our senses, with its charming villages, ancient capitals, art museums, castles and amazing new food and drinking experiences. Sharing all this with old and new friends made it all that more magical.

Review: Costa Rica- Pura Vida With Tauck

I love Costa Rica. I have now been there 5 times and I love it more each time I go and see and experience all the beauty Costa Rica has to offer.

This time, I went as a solo traveler with Tauck Earth Journeys. This is my 2nd Tauck tour that I went solo on and had wonderful time on both of them. The group tour experience is great for single travelers.

The tour was called Costa Rica- Pura Vida with Tauck which is the country’s motto and is used the same way as Aloha in Hawaii.

Review: Danube Waltz With Viking River Cruise

After many years of ocean cruises and land vacations, I was blessed to take my very first river cruise. The Danube Waltz with Viking (Budapest to Passau) has become one of most favorite and memorable vacations. There is a tremendous amount of cultural and historical sites throughout the region. What better way to visit each of these ports of calls nestled along the Danube River. This 8-day itinerary allowed us to see the highlights of Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Krems and Linz, Austria, along with Passau, Germany. These are not only some of the most beautiful European countries and cities but they are all designated UNESCO sites.

Costa Rica With Tauck Bridges

I have just returned from Costa Rica with Tauck Bridges tour with my son, Rod, his wife Sara, and my two grandchildren Billy, 10 and Chloe 7. In Costa Rica, there are only two seasons, rainy and less rainy. Our vacation was in July, and yes, it rained every day. Despite that, it was a great trip, and we quickly got used to doing activities in the rain. When we went to Tortuguero, it rained all day long. This ruined our planned excursions to look for wildlife, but we enjoyed the boat ride in the rain.
