Review: Romantic Rhine With Avalon Waterways
By: Ellie Silguero, Travel Consultant
When I opted to take a trip, I gravitated toward the Globus family of brands. They’ve been in the business over 90 years and, from a customer service standpoint, they’re a standout. I would be traveling with my mom and wanted the experience to be as stress-free as possible. Sailing from Basel to Amsterdam allowed us the chance to visit our German roots, cruise through the Rhine Gorge, and we would only need to unpack once – the delightful perk of a floating hotel. With that in my mind, we decided that the Romantic Rhine with Avalon, the sailing sister company of Globus, would be the perfect fit.
Review: Burgundy And Provence With Avalon Waterways

River cruising is my favorite way to travel! After sailing the Danube, Rhine, and Main, this year we decided to sail from Arles in the south of France, to St Jean de Losne, over the Saone and Rhone, where we disembarked and traveled to Paris for a couple nights before saying “au revoir” to France.
Review: Rendezvous On The Seine With Tauck River Cruise
By: John Scott, Senior Travel Consultant
I was fortunate enough to partake in Rendezvous On The Seine With Tauck River Cruise. It was an experience that I will never forget.
It started with three nights in Paris, at the Hotel Pullman Paris Tour Eiffel, and as the name might indicate, it is next to the Eiffel Tower. We came in a day earlier than the itinerary called for, to get use to the time change. We ate and people watched at one of the several great cafes in the area after walking along the Seine, which is only a couple of blocks from the hotel. The weather was cool with periods of light rain, but nothing that kept us from getting out. Tip: take water proof shoes, a rain coat, and a travel umbrella when you travel to northern France in the spring.
