Visiting New England during the fall, zipping through the four states of Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and viewing beautiful autumn foliage has always been on my bucket list.
After checking different trips that our company offers, my friend Dori and I chose Autumn Colors with Trafalgar. Traveling with her and other Trafalgar clients on the motorcoach through this part of the country was a wonderful experience.
Choosing a tour can be a fun experience. Trying to imagine what each tour will be like and wondering which one will be the best choice for you. My husband and I wanted to travel with Globus this time and find the right tour for us in the United States. Because I have so many customers that travel with Globus and always want to repeat their great experiences as past client travelers, I wanted to see for myself if we would feel the same.
My son and I recently traveled with Insight Vacations on the Elegance of the East Coast itinerary. This was my second trip with Insight and it was everything that I expected, and more!
We arrived at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City for the start of our tour experience. As we walked into the doors of this historic hotel, we were met by Howie, our Tour Director. Howie sat down with us and presented us with our welcome packet and directed us to your room so that we could relax and freshen up before our welcome dinner. Our room at the hotel was amazing and quite comfortable. That evening, we went to a local restaurant and were treated to a welcome reception with great wine, food and dessert. It was nice to get to know our fellow travelers in this setting.

Our tour begins in one of Boston’s more luxurious hotels … The Langham, Boston … The Langham, Boston, blends the legendary hospitality of the original Langham grand hotel with the classic architectural elegance of Boston’s former Federal Reserve Bank building. It was beautiful!! From the pink pens, the wonderful grilled cheese sandwich on sourdough bread with yellow tomatoes, fabulous!
It was also nice to wake up with the temperatures slightly cooler … certainly more tolerable that hot, humid Houston.
