That’s not the first line of a well-worn joke, but the beginning of an amazing familiarization trip. Not only did we spend time getting to know each other, but we also got to learn about the Holland America brand.

This summer, my parents, children, and I cruised along the Eastern Caribbean with MSC Cruises aboard their brand new ship, the Seaside. I was a little nervous about trying out a European cruise line, because I didn’t know if the service and other quality standards would be up to par with our American criterion, but we were so pleasantly surprised!
This year, my family and I took an Eastern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean. We sailed on the Oasis of the Seas out of Orlando on a 7-night journey, stopping in Philipsburg, San Juan and Labadee.
