My family has always wanted to visit Ireland to know our heritage better. We chose Focus on Ireland with Insight Vacations for a number of reasons. First, the extra legroom on the luxury motor coach would provide more comfort for my parents. Also, the itinerary hits much of southern Ireland’s biggest highlights within 7 days with many Relaxed Starts. Relaxed Starts are mornings where you don’t have to wake up extra early in the morning.
There are times when words, even superlatives, aren’t sufficient to adequately describe certain travel experiences. My recent trip through the Canadian Rockies with Insight Vacations was just such an event.
Bienvenue! Welcome to France!
Traveling on the country roads (and some motorways) is a wonderful way to see parts of a country that you might not be totally aware of, unless you are a history buff of the area you are visiting. The itinerary, Country Roads of France with Insight Vacations, sounded interesting to us, as we wished to learn more about France and perhaps gain more insight in to their culture. Instead of spending one night in most places, we usually stayed two. And in Avignon, we spent 3 nights in a very spacious hotel with very carrying personnel—a welcomed treat about half way through our trip! As always, Insight’s hotel choices were superb.
My son and I recently traveled with Insight Vacations on the Elegance of the East Coast itinerary. This was my second trip with Insight and it was everything that I expected, and more!
We arrived at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City for the start of our tour experience. As we walked into the doors of this historic hotel, we were met by Howie, our Tour Director. Howie sat down with us and presented us with our welcome packet and directed us to your room so that we could relax and freshen up before our welcome dinner. Our room at the hotel was amazing and quite comfortable. That evening, we went to a local restaurant and were treated to a welcome reception with great wine, food and dessert. It was nice to get to know our fellow travelers in this setting.
My journey began as I met my daughter in London and flew into Milan for 2 nights before the tour started. We flew into the small airport in Milan, Linate, and took a short, relatively inexpensive taxi ride to our hotel, the Chateau Monfort – 5 star hotel, centrally located in Milan and within easy walking distance from the Duomo, Milan’s grand Cathedral.
