The Carnival Miracle sails out of Long Beach, California on Mexican Riviera and Hawaii cruises. She will continue to do so through 2017, and then Carnival plans on repositioning her to China. The following is an article about our cruise dated February 27 to March 5, 2016.
The Caribbean Princess cruise departed from the very under-used and seemingly brand new Bayport Cruise Terminal. We arrived around 10:30AM to try and avoid the parking/check-in rush and were able to get a great parking spot. Check-in was a breeze, as there were no lines at all after passing through the security screening – much easier than airport TSA screening.
The Emerald Princess is just that, a jewel within herself. She was birthed in 2007 and is one of the largest cruise ships in the Princess Cruises fleet. She is also one of the most beautiful cruise ships that I have had the opportunity to sail on. Her decks are all very well lighted with beautiful marble flooring.
I had a mission this year. I wanted to get my whole family on a family vacation where we would all be together. I know, *gasp* right? With everyone’s busy schedules and everyone with a different idea of what vacation is, this mission would be impossible. Continue reading
