The usual meal times are:
• Breakfast from 07.30 to 10.00 (open seating)
• Lunch from 12.00/13.00 (open seating)
• Dinner times vary according to the itinerary. Typically, dinner starts at 18:00, and there will be a variety of
seating options available (times advised on board).
Specific diets, e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free etc., are generally available if sufficient notice (at least two weeks)
has been given to us in order to advise the ship. All ships are fully licensed; the price level is the same as on
mainland Norway. Restaurant opening hours vary depending on season and number of guests on board.

Age Restrictions
All children 7 to 13 years of age are welcome to participate in the Young Explorers Program. At the beginning of the cruise, participants will be given more details about the program. Each day they will receive a special Young Explorers’ agenda of the day. There is no need to sign up for the Young Explorers’ Program before sailing – you can sign up when you arrive on the ship. In most cases, it is not expected that parents/guardians participate in Young Explorers’ activities, but depending of the size and variation of the group, some parents may be asked to join in and help out on an informal basis. Young Explorer activities will be mainly offered in English and in the Scandinavian languages.
Tipping
Exceptional service is a hallmark of HX Expeditions, and no discretionary charges are added to guest bills. While gratuities are not expected, any additional gesture of appreciation is always welcome.

Three-course dinners or buffets are based on locally sourced food, each with stories to tell. The menu varies over an 11-day cycle and offers meat or fish and vegan dishes. Water is included. Wine packages, local beverage, and alcohol-free alternatives are also available.
