We found NCL to be comparable to Royal Caribbean, overall, though each cruise line tended to excel and lead its counterpart in certain categories. For example, the dining options and quality of food of NCL were slightly better than RCI's. Likewise, public accommodations, i.e., entertainment, games/shows/experiences of NCL were a cut above RCI's. Conversely, we found RCI's shore excursions to be somewhat better than NCL's. All in all, we feel we would have enjoyed our Panama Canal cruise with either.

The cruise was very good, but we expected more variety in the on-board events, particularly during the at sea days. The talks were just to sell cruises and jewelry. The trivia games were fun, but they could have given a prize worth a couple of dollars, maybe even a t-shirt. The food was excellent, especially in all of the sit-down restaurants. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of all parts of the ship and the tremendous effort by the crew to constantly clean and sanitize. They even immediately picked up small pieces of paper on the carpets. The cabin steward was very attentive and pleasant.

The Norwegian Dawn's architecture is lacking in comfortable areas to just sit and relax. Every inch is either a bar, restaurant, casino, or shop. This leads to a subtle pressure to spend money or drink. There was a distinct lack of cultural activities during the cruise. On past cruises they offered lectures on the locations that we were visiting without trying to sell us merchandise. We has a library that offered a view of the ocean while enjoying a book. On the Dawn the library is internal, small, and not really serious. My last criticism is that the ship was unable to maintain the air-conditioning in my cabin. Three of the eleven nights were spent with unacceptable heat. On the positive side, the staff and crew were exceptional. We had an upgrade that came with a cabin assistant, butler, and concierge. Our butler and cabin assistant were exceptionally attentive. They worked hard to make us comfortable and well fed. The concierge was somewhat less present, and in the end he never learned mine and my sister's names and all his communications were incorrectly addressed as a married couple with my sister\'s last name. In general, the food across the restaurants was excellent. In all the meals there were only two dishes that weren't up to expectations. The Moderno Churrascaria was exceptional, and the French specialty restaurant, Le Bistro, was beautiful with very interesting and tasty food. The cruise itinerary was good. The selection of ports was a good blend of similar but different West Indies ports along with US territories. In conclusion, this cruise really only suffered by comparison. If I'd had no previous experience, then this cruise would have been as magical as others. NCL is a fine cruise line that has handled COVID protocols extremely well both pre-boarding and while sanitizing on board. My issues are personal preferences aside from the AC malfunction.

We really enjoyed our experience on the Norwegian Breakaway. The staff were all very courteous and accomodating. We also could see the attention given to cleanliness and keeping everyone safe.

In addition to cruising with Regent, NCL's Haven is the next best option. The accommodations are nice and the staff is outstanding. It is like a ship within a ship. I highly recommend NCL and especially the Haven.

the cruise was great NCL has gone almost to the bottom of my list of cruise line thee food except fot the special dinning was not the NCL standard i was used to and the entertainment was poor. i am planning the cancel my next booked cruise

NCL provided a great New Year Celebration cruse. Festive atmosphere, great food choices at Seven Seas restaurant and at the buffet on deck 11. Cabins are larger that we have cruised in lately and with plenty of room for luggage and necessities. NCL staff was very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was very good. The band playing in the Bliss lounge was on the highest level. Boarding and disembarkation exemplary. Over-all it was wonderful experience.

NCL was able to accomodate my special dietary needs with no problems. They also had some appropriate and fantastic shows and activities. I had one problem on the trip: I booked my shore excursions on the NCL webpage in advance, my excursion times changed when I got on board, I didn't know to look on my physical ticket to see that the time had changed, so I missed my first (and most desired) excursion. No one told me the excursion time could change after I printed my itinerary confirmation--and I talked with 2 members of the shore excursion desk the night before my first excursion! CHECK YOUR PHYSICAL TICKET FOR UPDATED EXCURSION TIME AND MEETING PLACE!!!

The cruise itinerary was changed the week prior to sailing, eliminating one port entirely. NCL did refund the port taxes on the final statement. During the cruise, some arrival and departure times were changed, thereby cutting our time in port and shore excursions short. The onboard entertainment was good and most of the personnel were friendly and helpful, especially the wait staff and cabin steward.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise! The staff on the Norwegian Jade were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. The food and service in the Grand Pacific was also excellent. The entertainment was first class - both the theater productions and the various singers in the bars and poolside.

We enjoyed NCL very much, our first cruise ever! The staff was wonderful and food was adequate. Lodging was very comfortable and we enjoyed our deck and the stateroom staff. Our only complaints are that the tendering should be done with larger boats, not the ships small boats! The tender operation in Mykonos was perfect! Other places, too much waiting in line. Also, i felt that there were too many other ships in Santorini and Corfu. And of course we were VERY disappointed to have TWO of our stops cancelled. That is a THIRD of our port stops. We understand that weather cannot be controlled, but very unsure about our Kotor stop/Bar stop reason. Thank you!!!!

First port cancelled since the "supplies weren't loaded" Port in Scotland cancelled secondary to weather. Food service in restaurants was slow, food cold. Long lines for entertainment and at times couldn't even enter No quite place on boat to set and read and relax. Overnight laundry took four days NCL wasn't firing on all cylinders--worst cruise with them we had. Thinking of not travelling with them again Specialty restaurants were great-would book more to avoid the masses

We booked a 4 night cruise on Norwegian to Key West, FL and Cuba. The ship was older, but had been refurbished. We booked a balcony cabin. It was fine, but a bit small. Steve was outstanding as usual in booking and follow-up.

Food was ok not great a little disappointed. Frozen drinks were tasteless very icy. Karaoke song books were outdated. They were offering credits on future cruises with a deposit. I have booked and paid over $24,000 for a cruise for 13 family members on the Breakaway on June 23, 2019. When I asked about a getting a credit on this they told me no because it was already paid for. I found this very disappointing. Not so sure I will travel on Norwegian ever again.
