    The American Visionary Art Museum is solely dedicated to featuring what's called outsider art. It opened in 1994 and covers 1.1 acres. Inside, there are more than 4,000 pieces of artwork from varying artists including Leonard Knight, Judith Scott, and Mr. Imagination.   Each art piece is completely unique and raw, which makes it so unique. There also aren't any official curators that work in the museum. Instead, varying guests come and curate the many different shows and exhibits, which makes the museum even more interesting and different.

    You Should Know

    Though the museum is always open until 5 p.m. (except when it's closed on Mondays), they stop letting people in at 4:30 p.m. Children under the age of 6 get free entry!  
  • Visit the Babe Ruth Birthplace & Museum

    The Babe Ruth Birthplace is the home of Babe Ruth! It's only a few short blocks away from Oriole Park, where Baltimore's own Major League Baseball team, the Orioles, plays. Babe Ruth was born and raised in Baltimore in the late 19th century and went on to be one of the most iconic baseball players in history. Inside the museum, visitors can learn more about Babe Ruth's life and the history of baseball. There are exhibits featuring pieces from his house and old uniforms. If you're a huge sports fanatic (or even if you aren't) then you'll love visiting Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum.

    Baltimore's Washington Monument was erected from 1815 to 1829 and is dedicated to none other than Goerge Washington.
