  • Though Miami has gorgeous beaches, be sure to explore the city itself too. There are tons of beautiful places here that aren't all right along the coast!
  • When visiting Miami, don't assume that everyone speaks English. There are many different languages spoken here, which only adds to the city's unique culture.
  • If you can, try to get out and explore some of Miami at night. This is when the city is indeed said to come alive. Everyone here loves to go clubbing every once in a while, and it's a great way to meet some of the locals!

Opt to visit earlier in the day if you want to visit crowds altogether.

Quick Facts

Miami is best visited all times of year because the sun is always shining! However, there are times that Miami is busiest, which you might want to consider when planning your trip. This way, you could avoid crowds.

  • Fall and Spring - September to November and March to May - Shoulder Season

The shoulder seasons in Miami consist of the fall and spring seasons. The average temperature in the fall is around 84°F, while the springtime brings highs of 80°F on most days. The city isn't super flooded with tourists during this time.

  • Winter - December to February - High Season

The majority of people flock to Miami in the winter because they're fleeing from the cold winters that you get in the northern states! Rates are at their highest during this time, so you'll pay more for a hotel during the high season than during the summer months. The average temperature during this time is around 75°F.

  • June to August - Low Season

The least amount of people visit from June to August in the summer, mainly due to the hot weather. It averages around 89°F a day, though it can cool off to about 75°F at night. Luckily, there is often a breeze from the coast as well.
