Juneau Cruises
Overview
Juneau, Alaska is the only capital where the Governors house is less than one mile from prime grizzly bear frontier. That shows you how untouched this terrain is. Alaska lets you get both cosmopolitan and frontier styles when you tour the capital of Alaska. Nature walks, and scenic bike rides await you in this stunning city. Stroll through original shops or be amazed at Mendenhall Glacier, just outside of the city limits. At the base of majestic mountain peaks and at the pure waterfront of the Gastineau Channel is Juneau, Alaska's Peak Experience. Alaska's capital city, Juneau is positioned in Southeast Alaska. The Tongass Rainforest climate provides Juneau with fertile terrain and vivacious wildflowers. Early settlers included miners during Alaska's gold rush and grizzly fur traders. The Tlingit and Haida Indians were the first settlers to this area. Native Alaska influence is major today in Juneau.
Things to Do
When in Juneau, Alaska you will never run out of things to do. Take a trip to the Marie Drake Planetarium and see what the stars were supposed to look like.
Go and take in a little Alaskan history at the Juneau-Douglas City Museum. Of course every port has its night life but the beautiful nights of Alaska make it a whole other experience. So run out to Juneau before you run out of time.
