Signature Beverage Package has a daily limit of 15 beverages, which includes all beverages priced at US$11.00 or lower and includes gratuities. Beverage package includes non-alcoholic beverages such as sodas and specialty coffees. Guests must order beverages one at a time and must be 21 years or older for alcoholic beverages. Sharing is not permitted. Beverage management reserves the right to revoke the package if misused and refuse service for any reason, including service of alcoholic beverages to intoxicated guests. Specialty dining is based on cruise duration and ship type. For 6–9-day voyages, guests will receive one night at Pinnacle Grill or Tamarind. For ships without Tamarind, guests will receive one night at Pinnacle Grill or Canaletto. For 10–20-day voyages, guests will receive two nights: one night at Pinnacle Grill and one night at Tamarind. For ships without Tamarind, guests will receive two nights: one night at Pinnacle Grill and one night at Canaletto. For 21+ day voyages (excluding Grands), guests will receive three nights: one night at Pinnacle Grill, one night at Tamarind and one night at Canaletto. For ships without Tamarind, guests will receive three nights: two nights at Pinnacle Grill, one night at Canaletto. Offer excludes Specialty Dining Events in the Pinnacle Grill such as Sel De Mer, De Librije and Sommelier Dinner. Reservations and dining times will be available to pre-reserve. Guests who do not choose to pre-reserve will have their dining times assigned onboard, and a confirmation card will be placed in your stateroom upon embarkation day.
Shore excursion offer is based on cruise duration. For 6–9-day voyages, guests can choose one free shore excursion (up to $100 value) or apply $100 off any one tour. For 10–20-day voyages, guests can choose two free shore excursions (up to $100 value per tour) or apply $100 off each of any two tours. For 21+ day voyages (excluding Grands), guests can choose three free shore excursions (up to $100 value per tour) or apply $100 off each of any three tours. Your free shore excursion offer will be available to book pre-cruise or may be booked onboard. If you or Holland America cancel a pre-cruise tour reservation (more than 3 days prior to the cruise departure), we will automatically re-issue your promotional Shore Excursion credit to be used toward another tour selection. If a shore excursion (with the promotional credit applied) is cancelled on board before the published deadline, you will be refunded any amount paid, and your promotional credit will be issued back in the form of a non-refundable onboard credit, to be used toward another tour. Shore excursion credit under this promotion is non-transferable to other guests or bookings.
WI-FI Surf Package: surf your favorite sites including emails, sports, and news and general browsing. All onboard Internet usage is subject to Holland America Line standard policies, which may limit browsing of some sites due to network security and bandwidth usage. Flexible Cancellation available for Holland America Line cruises sailing on or before December 31, 2021 ("Eligible Cruise"). This policy applies to new and existing bookings made on or before September 30, 2021, for Holland America Line sailings on or before December 31, 2021. Guests may cancel up to 30 days before the Eligible Cruise’s embarkation for any reason and receive a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) in the amount of any applicable cancellation fees and a refund of additional funds received to the original payment method. Within 30 days of embarkation, guests may cancel and receive the FCC if they or someone in their immediate travel party tests positive for COVID-19. Book by September 30, 2021 to qualify for the FCC benefit in lieu of paying cancellation fees. Cruises through September 30, 2021 have a 60-day final payment window. Cruises sailing October 1, 2021 and later retain their published final payment date. Outside of payment 1, standard cancelation policies apply. FCC value shall be determined by the actual non-refundable cancellation fees for the Eligible Cruise's booking, less any amount refunded in the form of original payment. Cancellation Protection Plan or Platinum Cancellation Protection Plan ("CPP"/"CPPP") premiums and reimbursed amounts shall not be included in the value of the FCC. Health and Safety Protocols
The following policies have already been implemented across all Holland America's entire fleet:
Timely safety and hygiene communications
- Guests will find information in the daily program and on their stateroom televisions.
- Tips displayed on onboard digital screens throughout the ship.
- Daily announcements by the Cruise & Travel Director.
Restaurants, bars and lounges
- Hand sanitizer dispensers are in high-traffic locations, including all entrances to all dining rooms and the Lido Market.Guests will find information in the daily program and on their stateroom televisions.
- Lido Market hand sanitizer stations are staffed to prompt guests to either use the sanitizer or use the available hand washing stations.
- All food service stations, including Lido Market, will be staffed. Any self-serve areas that remain, such as condiment set-ups, will be monitored by dedicated personnel. All serving utensils in self-service locations are replaced every 30 minutes.
Housekeeping for staterooms and suites
- Stateroom surfaces and fixtures are thoroughly cleaned up to twice daily with particular attention to bathrooms, handles, and frequently touched surfaces
- Oxivir solution is used as a secondary sanitation method on all touch points after each stateroom is serviced.
- All guest corridors including handrails, elevator buttons and stateroom door handles are frequently sanitized.
- A nightly deep cleaning and disinfection process for all highly-trafficked public areas using foggers, including: all restaurants, the fitness center, spa, Lido deck areas, promenade, casino, medical center, public restrooms, lounges, bars, lobbies, elevators, atrium, youth activity centers, arcades and all crew public areas.
Guests with flu-like symptoms
- Any stateroom of a guest displaying flu-like symptoms will receive additional deep cleaning.
- All bed linens, table cloths, towels, napkins, etc. in the affected room will be laundered in a high-temperature sanitation wash and dry program.

Great trip on Holland America to Panama Canal. The ship was going into dry dock and certainly needed some work.
The only disappointment we had was a last minute change to the itinerary that deleted the visit to the Faroe Islands and added a second day in Reykcavik. As much as we enjoyed Iceland, two days was more than we needed to see this beautiful city and we were looking forward to the remoteness of Faroe. Holland America Zuiderdam was an excellent cruise ship and our upgrade to a suite was not expected - great room and service.
It was a nice cruise, however, the food on Princess is better.
Overall, Holland America provides a very good package.
Holland America has never disappointed us. The staff is very friendly and address concerns (if any) immediately. People in Neptune and Pinnacle Suites have a separate lounge, which, amongst other advantages, has a dedicated Guest Services person who can help with bill questions, bookings for Cabanas, etc. This trip was a partial Panama Canal sailing, and it was great! We enjoyed the food, entertainment, and excursions!
Everything about the cruise was perfect. The staff made this trip beyond expectations. They knew (from Susan) and made our 1ST Anniversary very special.
We booked an obstructed view, but it really is more than obstructed, except for the daylight, there really is no view.
Excellent follow through by Autumn, and good coverage when she was unavailable.
Everything went smoothly
Kia did a great job booking the whole trip without any hitches. We have been booking all of our trips through Affordabletours since 2004 and will continue to do so.
It was one of the best cruises I have taken. The total experience was very good. I will definitely refer this itinerary with my friends.
After having had a negative experience with Holland America several years ago we returned to them twice this year and have been very impressed. The staff is excellent. The quality of the food is impressive and the entertainment on board is superior to other lines on which we have sailed. We would highly recommend HAL to anyone taking a cruise.

Every aspect of booking our 17-day cruise with Affordable Tours went very smoothly. The travel consultant was quite knowledgeable and helpful in helping us make clear choices. As questions arose, she made herself directly available to us by phone and emails.
Experience aboard ship was excellent. Food and food service excellent. Shows were very good (B.B. King Blues Club was super). Rooms clean and as advertised. Getting on and off ship easy and quick.
PORTS AND SHORE EXCURSIONS Ports and shore excursions were another matter. Very inconsistent. Not managed by HAL properly. Bahamas-the cay we went to is wholly owned by Holland America and for all intents is uninhabited except for some Holland America employees. Very little in the way of scenery, shopping, or being able to view and interact with locals.
Aruba-The sunset cruise was nice and the crew of the catamaran we were on was excellent (there were two catamarans and we were on the second, and smaller one. Basically a shopping port.
Curacao-We went on a dolphin encounter where we were able to pet and interact with these amazing creatures. Great time EXCEPT-we were told that we would be able to go back to ship via taxi at our own expense but when we went to where the taxis were supposed to be (at approx 12:30PM) there were none; several calls were made but nothing showed up. We were told we could take a local "bus" (van) and we would have to make about a 10 minute walk back to ship form bus stop. The walk was more like 30 minutes on a very hot day. UNACCEPTABLE! Also a very short day in port.
Cartagena-We did our own tour with a local guide and it was fun and informative. I highly recommend this. Saw the highest point, old fort, walled city, old town, etc. Each of us had a small earpiece that allowed us to hear without being crowded. Great. Again too short a time in port.
Panama Canal-A great experience going through canal. A real technical marvel, but tour was mediocre. We were loaded on a bus that took us to new canal and old canal. We got a small bottle of water and a muffin. (Another tour offered free drinks and snacks for the whole tour).
Colon not a very nice place.
Costa Rica-We were supposed to be on rain forest adventure that would allow us to see wildlife that might include monkeys and other exotic animals. We saw a small lizard, a millipede, and heard a frog. We did see other animals in exhibits in a herpetarium. BUS RIDE TO AND FROM WAS AWFUL; BUMPY, NOISY. When I complained to tour guide she told me I was acting like a maniac. Four and one half hours of nothing. Other comments the excursion manager for HAL, is not suited for job. Always let his assistants speak to us at desk. Could not answer questions. UNACCEPTABLE! Also HAL should give tours a small bag lunch and supply plenty of water. Only water available on most tours was what was sold in lounge on ship. POOR! It is easy to become dehydrated.
Great trip. Wonderful Holland America food and service. Great itenerary. However, mean age of people on board must have been 80. Lots of scooters, dementia and walkers. Although we're in our mid 60's, this population was too old for us. However, they have the most wonderful caring crew I`ve ever encountered.
