Health and Safety Protocols
Princess is actively working with public health officials and medical experts in an effort to do everything possible to prevent illness, including COVID-19, onboard Princess ships. Here are some actions that Princess is taking to ensure our guests can sail confidently and safely with Princess.
Changing Itineraries
Princess is constantly monitoring the global health map and cancel or modify itineraries to impacted areas. Princess also prevents guests and crew who have recently traveled through these high-risk locations from boarding.
Enhancing Health Requirements
Princess will deny boarding to guests and crew if they:
- Have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 or a person being monitored for COVID-19.
- Are suffering from a fever or flu-like symptoms prior to embarkation.
Stepping Up Screenings
At embarkation, Princess will require all guests and crew to participate in mandatory health screenings, which may include a thermal scan to check temperatures, and in some cases secondary screenings. Depending on the results, Princess will deny certain individuals boarding if they feel they could pose a risk to others.
Enhancing Sanitation Procedures in Embarkation Terminals
Enhancing Sanitation Procedures in Embarkation Terminals Beginning in select terminals on March 7, 2020, highly touched surfaces throughout each embarkation terminal will be sanitized continuously, and terminals will be thoroughly sanitized and, where possible, fogged before and after each embarkation and debarkation.
Cleaning Everywhere!
In addition to the rigorous daily cleaning regimen they already have, Princess is establishing additional sanitation measures on all of their ships, which include sanitizing frequently touched surfaces in all public areas – from tables and chairs to casino chips and fitness machines – even more often than they did before.
Free-flowing Hand Sanitizer
Princess already has hand-washing sinks or hand sanitizer dispensers in front of entrances to all dining venues and the buffet. Crew will monitor entrances to all venues to encourage all guests wash their hands before entering. Princess is also adding additional hand sanitizer dispensers in high-traffic areas around the ship.
Keeping Crew Healthy
Each day, Princess is raising awareness daily of how to maintain a healthy environment on board by reinforcing frequent hand-washing, avoiding hand contact, reporting guests who present signs of illness and more. Princess will also more actively enforce crew hand-washing and provide more hand sanitizers in crew areas.
Revising Medical Protocols & Staying Prepared
Every Princess ship sails with a highly capable medical team that will receive special training for COVID-19. Any guest or crew member who exhibits symptoms of respiratory illness will strongly be encouraged to visit the Medical Center for a complimentary consultation and, if appropriate, screening for COVID-19.
24/7 Monitoring and Preparedness
Princess' team monitors world health developments from state-of-the-art Fleet Operations Center in Santa Clarita, California, and offices around the world 24-7. Princess is also in close contact with major health agencies, medical experts and partners in the travel industry so Princess can act quickly to revise plans and protocols as the situation evolves.

Questions & Answers
Question: When should I arrive at the port?
Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?
This was my first cruise so I have no comparison, but not sure I am a cruise type person for the sake of cruising..
Richard was great help getting us just the right cabin for a terrific price. Thanks for the cover charge for specialty dining. It was a nice surprise!
Embarcation in Shanghai was a disaster
We couldn't have asked for a better trip! Princess Cruise & land tour was perfect. Organization from destination to destination was exemplary. No hitches at any time about any excursion, activity, availability, etc. All staff and our steward were extremely professional and answered any question that we had. Our only difficulty was how they run the anytime dining room. Some evenings you were able to make a reservation and other evenings you were not. They also would not take reservations before 8:00 am on the day you were interested in going to anytime dining. Other evenings without a reservation there might be as much as a 40 minute wait. There must be a better way to organize this aspect.
The luggage had to be put outside the door too early. In most days by 6am and we wouldn't leve for three, four hours. In the last night of the cruise, we were asked to put the luggage outside out cabin before dinner! This is disturbing, since I had to pack too early and was denied access to my stuff that was in the suitcase for extra time. I understand that are many luggages to be carried, but I don't think we should have to put the luggage away so early.
Wonderful accommodations. Great service
The Alaska land tour /cruise was wonderful and the perfect way to see a lot of Alaska. Our only hesitation to booking with Princess again is that we prefer the small ship experience instead of the 2000+ passenger ships.
Levon is a true professional cruise agent and a joy to deal with.
We tried the eating anytime and it is a terrible idea. Most changed to fixed dining which we did the second. Everyone shows up at the same time and goes on the wait list. In addition , the waitstaff is inferior and just want to move you out for the next seating. We had a great time with our waiters. The entertainment was fair. Tours were excellent
Coral Princess is an older ship but still very good. It takes on less passengers than the new mega ships, which I like. Entertainment on this ship was quite varied and first class. Most nights we had two shows we could watch.
The Coral Princess was recently refurbished - a very nice ship for the Panama Cruise.
We enjoyed the Panama Canal trip and were not disappointed in any part of it. The weather cooperated and the passage through the locks was as much as I expected. I would recommend this trip. I was treated well by Affordable Tours and being the second time using them, I am certain that I would use them again in the future.
Tours offered by Princess on this cruise were a low point. Ranging from a 2 hr. delay in Seattle due to "Immigration Hold-ups"-Did they not know that a ship was arriving? A visit to two low-end wineries in Sonoma with having to find a place to eat (and chew up our time) on a tour that went from 10:AM to 3:30 PM that Princess used to provide a timely box lunch included in the $150.00 pp price! Tours to Beach Villages in Astoria were nothing more than "Tourist traps".
The entire experience was exceptional. From booking to the cruise with the Princess Coral--could nt be more pleased.
I HAD A WONDERFUL TRIP...EVERYTHING WENT AS PLANNED!
Princess is one of the best cruise lines and we have been on many.
It was so nice to be upgraded to a balcony room on the cruise. This just made the experience better. My friend and I had a wonderful time and we shared information about affordable tours with passengers we met.
I was surprised that the staterooms had tub/showers. This I feel needs to addressed by Princess in that 98% of the people on board were 55 years old and older. Many folks cruising were handicapped and maybe there were handicapped accommodations on board, I don\'t have that information. The Princess cruise line was great. Very friendly people no matter what their respected job was on board the ship. Lots of classes and fun things to do which keep us busy. Good off ship trips that were interesting and well planned. The food was excellent and no matter what you requested they were happy to please and saw to it that you received your request.
We were very pleased with the recommendations and also quite pleased with our cabin on the inside. As it turns out there was a fabulous balcony not far from our inside cabin that we could use. It was the entire width of the Coral Ship at the aft of the ship. We hope to have another cruise next year at the same time or round about the same time and will surely give you a call.
