Viking consistently delivers with a high degree of predictability.

Viking Ocean Cruise was a good experience and we especially enjoyed Greece. Overall Viking staff was excellent and added to the experience. Viking Sea is only a 930 passenger ship and had 907 passengers. We did not feel crowded and could easily find free space for us and our friends to find a quiet space to talk, drink or play cards. There were plenty of excursions to choose from.

Viking handled the whole trip very well. Staff was well organized and tour provided were also very good. Treated exceptionally well by all food and bar staff.

Viking consistently provides exciting destinations, superior accommodations, culinary excellence and the most efficient and attentive staff. An experience with comprehensive value!

The vessel and staff were nothing short of spectacular. They made every effort to accommodate every request. Food is five star at every meal. No crowded feeling. Included shore excursions were not great but OK.

This was our first cruise on an ocean going ship with 900 passengers. Only river cruises before now with 180 passengers. We were delighted to find that the larger ship still had the small ship feel with many more dining and entertainment options.

We loved Viking. The entire crew and staff were wonderful. The food was over the top. We enjoyed the $600 ship board credit offered to us by Affordable tours. Jennifer did a great job in setting all this up. The only draw back was that we were not assigned a stateroom until we checked in at the ship. We knew the type of room we were getting but not the exact room or deck. While we were a little nervous about that Jennifer assured us everything would be fine and it was..

Viking Sea is a great way to travel and they offer fair prices especially when they also publish a discount on a tour that interests us.

Excellent trip!

Viking Sea was a great ship. The room, food, entertainment and staff were excellent and very friendly. The included side trips were all very nice. The extra side trips were priced up to twice what you could book on your own. We did Alla Grand Tour in st Peterborough and Rodne boat tour in Stavanger. The only extra from Viking was train to Flam which was excellent. I would recommend this cruise and Viking.

I would suggest that, when composing the narratives for shore excursions, consideration be given to include facts concerning things like time on trains, buses, etc. While saying you take a train to Berlin, that means very different things to different individuals. Nothing creates disappointment like thinking the ride will be an hour when it is actually 2 1/2. Better to say it up front so that a decision to participate is based upon real information, not an uneducated expectation.

Leaning more toward river cruises in the future

Viking is an incredible experience--even at the lowest cabin rate. If you add the silver beverage plan to your package, there is little more you would need. Even the smallest cabins are comfortable, have a balcony and a beautiful bathroom. The staff is attentive and friendly. Finally reassure clients that even at the lowest rates they will be able to get bookings at the specialty restaurants and tours they may want. Would definitely book Viking for another cruise.

West Indies Explorer is a lovely trip -- Viking Sea is a beautiful ship and the crew is extremely friendly and courteous and helpful. We were sorry when the cruise ended.

The trip was wonderful. The crew exceeded all expectations for service and friendliness. We were able to visit several storm damaged islands and the excursions were great. The islanders were grateful for Viking's efforts to restore visits before other lines were able to do so.

Viking changed the itinerary shortly before sailing by substituting Gaspe for Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The company said that Canadian law compelled them to go slower to protect the whales, so they could not make Charlottetown in the allotted time. Maybe so, but Gaspe was not very interesting, and many ladies (including my wife) were disappointed in not seeing Anne of Green gables island.

This was an outstanding cruise with Viking.

It was a wonderful trip of a lifetime. We had a great time.

Everything about the Viking Sea was professional and to top cruise standards. From the cabin steward to the wait staff, to the maitre'd and the spa staff, all were welcoming, learned our names immediately and were above average. The cruise director on this trip made all the difference. He was personable, approachable, knowledgeable and strove to please all. He made a huge difference in our experience! The excursions, especially the overnight from Haifa to Jerusalem were above expectations. We would definitely recommend this trip to all who ask. As far as security, there was not one time we felt threatened or not welcome at any site we visited.

The Viking Ocean ship was beautiful, the tours were good, the staff was terrific, and the food was very good. We enjoyed the trip and would go again with Viking Ocean.

Viking did not communicate well with British Air at JFK airport, in that we could not print a boarding pass for the second leg of the journey (London to Bergen) before we got to the airport. At the airport, BA personnel at first said they could not allow us on the flight, as there was not enough time between the 2 legs of the flights. There were 50 of us on the JFK to London flight all in the same situation. Between AT, BA and Viking, somehow it was worked out, but it took us over an hour at the ticket counter. I blame Viking for not properly booking us or not communicating with BA personnel. But it did all work out.
