Health and Safety Protocols
Everything Royal Caribbean does, onboard and on land, is about safeguarding the guests and crew. Royal Caribbean ships provide a worry-free vacation! Here are some steps we are taking to ensure we keep you healthy. Royal Caribbeany has developed a comprehensive plan to respond to COVID-19 situations, just in case. Preparedness is key! If someone should fall ill or display symptoms while sailing, Royal Caribbean has rigorous protocols in place, including intensified cleaning, air filtration, and sanitizing procedures and medical isolation. Each ship has reviewed their inventory and are all well-equipped with supplies and personal protective equipment, such as masks and medicine.
REDUCED TRAVEL TO IMPACTED COUNTRIES
Along with a team of medical experts and guidance from health organizations, Royal Caribbean is monitoring the situation and either canceling or modifying itineraries to impacted areas.
ENHANCED BOARDING SCREENING
At the pier, all guests participate in mandatory screenings that include exclusion due to travel based on temporary restrictions and even a thermal scan to check everyone's temperature. Some guests may be subject to a secondary review. Dependent of screening results, some guests may be denied boarding to ensure Royal Caribbean is keep their ships healthy and safe.
HEIGHTENED SANITATION AT CRUISE TERMINALS
Before and after all sailings, the cruise terminal is thoroughly sanitized. And, boarding, each ship undergoes deep sanitation using industry-standard cleaners proven to combat bacteria & viruses.
ADDITIONAL SANITATION SAFEGUARDS ONBOARD SHIPS
With the guidance of the World Health Organization and U.S. Centers for Disease Control, all ships across the entire Royal Caribbean International fleet have elevated sanitation procedures. Key areas, which include public venues & restrooms, are sanitized approximately every 30 minutes.
HAND SANITIZERS EVERYWHERE
One of the best ways to stay healthy is to keep your hands clean. So, Royal Caribbean has increased the availability of hand sanitizer stations and continue to enforce hand cleansing at all food venues onboard. Hand sanitizers are effective against a broad number of pathogens, including Coronavirus COVID-19.
ENHANCED MEDICAL PROTOCOLS
Royal Caribbean has rigorous medical protocols in place to help those who aren’t feeling well, like complimentary medical consultations for guests with fever or flu-like symptoms, medical isolation when warranted, and intensified ship cleaning, air filtration, and sanitization procedures.
STATEROOM CLEANLINESS
Guest staterooms are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. During instances that guests display flu-like symptoms, their stateroom will receive an additional deep-cleaning.
DAILY HEALTH UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENTS
During each sailing, the Captain makes two announcements each day to remind guests to wash their hands often, use recommended coughing etiquette, and to report any high fever or flu-like illness symptoms immediately.

Questions & Answers
Question: When should I arrive at the port?
Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?
Staff are very helpful and polite and want to thank my housekeeper a special Thanks!
The cruise was delightful! The ship's small size may have contributed to the general ongoing friendliness and cheerfulness of everyone on board, crew and vacationers, alike. Cleanliness was a priority.I heard not a single complaint from anyone about anything. The shows and musicians were fabulous! Even the embarkation and disembarkation processes were surprisingly quick.
Affordable Tours and Royal Caribbean go above and beyond all expectations. This was our 3rd cruise using Affordable Tours and Royal Caribbean.
All expectations exceeded. Attentive, prompt, and knowledgeable responses. I won't go anywhere else to book a cruise.
Everything about this trip and the booking operator was what we had hoped for. We have used the same operator and cruise line for our last three cruises and are booked for another cruise in October 2019. We will not hesitate to continue using the services provided to us from Affordable Tours. The cruise offered a good variety of activities on the ship as well as on shore outings. The food was very good and the onboard staff were very friendly and helpful. I can not think of any recommendations needed to make our experience more enjoyable.
Both Affordable Tours and Royal Caribbean were extremely helpful provided excellent service. It was easy to ask questions and the representatives of the two firms were friendly and knowledgeable.
Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean was great antidote to winter that just hit Washington. Ship staff and accommodations were excellent. Only disappointment was food which was consistently mediocre - a contrast to what we'd experienced in the past. Shore excursions were pricey and inconsistent in quality. Others should consider booking their own independent tours.
My husband and I traveled with my sister and her husband on this cruise. We enjoyed it so much that we already booked our next cruise together and my sister and her husband booked an additional cruise as well. Everything about this trip was amazing and the price was very affordable.
Everything was perfect!!
We were very pleased with the services and the trip..thanks..
This was an excellent trip and extremely relaxing. We loved going to Charleston. I even saw one of my students who I taught when in 8th grade at the straw market in Charleston. She was there for the weekend with her fiancee. They are getting married in September. Small world.
It was a fantastic experience. Everyone was so accommodating, nice, and professional.
The staff on the ship were very professional and made every effort to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. The service in all the restaurants, casino, entertainment areas, and shops, room service, and room care were the best I have experienced while traveling. I would and hopefully will be able to take another trip with this agency.
We had a wonderful time. Our only disappointment was with an excursion that we had booked in Freeport/ Grand Bahama Island. It was over crowded and sloppily run. We expressed our displeasure with the excursion desk on board and was given a partial refund. We felt very satisfied with the outcome. The cruise line staff was very gracious.
Cruise was as enjoyable as I imagined. My consultant was very helpful (and patient!) in the selection process, offering multiple selections and options.
Because it is a smaller ship, the Grandeur is easy to get around. The public areas are quite pretty. I liked the "quiet time" every afternoon in the Viking Lounge. The library has a good enough selection of books but is basically a few bookcases. The library could use a couple of big tables for jigsaw puzzles. The food and service in the MDR was just fine. Because I am onion intolerant, it was difficult to eat in the Windjammer Cafe as that chef seems to think almost everything is better with onions! I spoke to the Hotel Director about this. We solved this problem for this cruise by eating in the MDR all the time. The adults only, solarium is the best part of the ship. It has two hot-tubs and one heated salt water pool (though it was necessary to be persistent with one of the pool "men" about keeping the heater on). Through the power of customer teamwork, we got the heat turned back on for the three days at sea on the return trip. My husband liked the two prom decks -- 5 and 10. He was thrilled that one of them went all the way around the ship. Cabin 2541. We were first assigned to cabin 2541. There was a service room below us which had loud, sporadic noises around the clock.. A maintenance man said it was a luggage storage room and he thought a luggage trolley was loose and rolling around. Someone from the ship went to the room to check and insisted there was nothing there to cause the noise. Yet it persisted. Finally they offered to move us to a cabin next to the elevator! When I suggested this might not solve a noise problem, they offered to let us try the room out without moving. So we did. Surprisingly, Cabin 4035 was OK. They must have good soundproofing between the elevator shaft and the room. IMHO, no one should be placed in 2541 until RCL finds out and fixes the cause. The Rosario strings was a great duo that played semi classical music in the Centrum. The Grandeur of he Seas did a good job of playing big band-type music and there were several couples on board who were skilled at ballroom dancing and who danced a lot. Except for two variety shows by the RCL singers/dancers and one performance by their musical groups, the theater entertainment was one stand-up male comedian each with his own special gimmic: plain comedian, unicycle guy, ventriloquist with tennis ball puppet, simple magician, vocal interpreter.-- you get the idea.
You're treated like royalty.
Everyone was courteous and helpful, especially the waitstaff and housekeeping.
We loved the cruise. You did a great job with booking. Thank you so much.
Room attendant amazing! Waiters also amazing! Bartender also amazing. How do you keep the staff so happy and pleasant? This was the most enjoyable cruise I have had even with Hurricane Arthur. Entertainment, OK, I'll say it again...amazing.
