Health and Safety Protocols

Everything Royal Caribbean does, onboard and on land, is about safeguarding the guests and crew. Royal Caribbean ships provide a worry-free vacation! Here are some steps we are taking to ensure we keep you healthy. Royal Caribbeany has developed a comprehensive plan to respond to COVID-19 situations, just in case. Preparedness is key! If someone should fall ill or display symptoms while sailing, Royal Caribbean has rigorous protocols in place, including intensified cleaning, air filtration, and sanitizing procedures and medical isolation. Each ship has reviewed their inventory and are all well-equipped with supplies and personal protective equipment, such as masks and medicine.


Along with a team of medical experts and guidance from health organizations, Royal Caribbean is monitoring the situation and either canceling or modifying itineraries to impacted areas.


At the pier, all guests participate in mandatory screenings that include exclusion due to travel based on temporary restrictions and even a thermal scan to check everyone's temperature. Some guests may be subject to a secondary review. Dependent of screening results, some guests may be denied boarding to ensure Royal Caribbean is keep their ships healthy and safe.


Before and after all sailings, the cruise terminal is thoroughly sanitized. And, boarding, each ship undergoes deep sanitation using industry-standard cleaners proven to combat bacteria & viruses.


With the guidance of the World Health Organization and U.S. Centers for Disease Control, all ships across the entire Royal Caribbean International fleet have elevated sanitation procedures. Key areas, which include public venues & restrooms, are sanitized approximately every 30 minutes.


One of the best ways to stay healthy is to keep your hands clean. So, Royal Caribbean has increased the availability of hand sanitizer stations and continue to enforce hand cleansing at all food venues onboard. Hand sanitizers are effective against a broad number of pathogens, including Coronavirus COVID-19.


Royal Caribbean has rigorous medical protocols in place to help those who aren’t feeling well, like complimentary medical consultations for guests with fever or flu-like symptoms, medical isolation when warranted, and intensified ship cleaning, air filtration, and sanitization procedures.


Guest staterooms are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. During instances that guests display flu-like symptoms, their stateroom will receive an additional deep-cleaning.


During each sailing, the Captain makes two announcements each day to remind guests to wash their hands often, use recommended coughing etiquette, and to report any high fever or flu-like illness symptoms immediately.

Telephone service can be quite expensive and the service may be spotty. However, Wi-Fi services are also becoming the standard though access may come with a fee. You can view rates once you register for the cruise. Some stateroom categories and loyalty program benefit levels will offer a generous amount of "Wi-Fi Time", access to the ship's internet cafe or both.

This was a good cruise. The ship and my cabin were very good. The crew was professional and helpful. However, there were persistent problems in the dining room. Long waits and harried wait staff.

great value for the price. enjoy at your own pace. but be ready to pay for any extras.

This was my very first cruise and it was wonderful. I have never been inclined toward cruises but free friends recommended it and two other friends wanted to join me I gave in. I am so pleased I did. Great service, outstanding cummication

The Best travel agency and the cruise line. My whole family enjoyed the experience. We have celebrated my daughter\'s 25 wedding anniversary and my granddaughter\'s 17 th birthday. They decorated the rooms for these occasions. And even made a special birthday cake for my granddaughter Briana who has gluten allergy. Head chef specially prepared Bri\'s gluten free pasta and other meals. Loved every moment of it. Thank you.

We couldn't get the full experience of our cruise because of all of spring break crowd that were aboard the ship. We were told that there would be no spring break kids on the cruise with us. We could not even use the pool or the hot tub the entire time we were there. Other than that it was an amazing cruise.

Wonderful trip, will be remembered for a long time!

There was confusion at the end of the trip when they allowed too many people get off the ship at the same time rather than following the schedule that we were given. Hopefully Royal Caribbean will do better next time. 

We were very pleased with everything. It was a great cruise and we were very happy.

The trip went exceptionally well. We enjoyed it very much. Wish it was a longer cruise. The weather in Bermuda was great. Not too hot. We were told that the water was cold, although we did not book any swimming or scuba tours. We did go on a boat tour and a bus tour around the island. Checking out went flawlessly, with no effort on our part. Thank you for your help.

I would book with Affordable again most definitively, our agent was great! We just would not book with Royal Caribbean again. Explorer of the Seas Bayonne NJ to Bermuda was not that good at all. Ship was dirty, service and food poor. Stay with Carnival for this type of cruise and price range.
