Health and Safety Protocols

Since the WHO has downgraded Covid to an endemic disease, we have updated and revised our health protocols. The only thing you have to worry about is packing your suitcase!

Before Departure

For all guests of any age, immunization status and for any destination, there is no longer any immunization requirement or pre-boarding antigen testing required.

However, we inform you that the immunization requirements may still be required by the health authorities of some countries. Check with you travel agent for updated information

Surgical masks are recommended but no longer required.

If the guest tests positive during the cruise, he or she will be able to isolate in a cabin in a dedicated area of the ship until he or she recovers (and receives a negative antigen test) or until the moment of disembarkation in the country of origin or planned during booking.

Costa suggest that all guests bring with them an ample supply of regularly used medications, considering this cruise reaches remote locations where not all medications may be available.  

Costa strongly recommend taking out personal medical insurance for your trip as many of the places you will visit have a different healthcare systems than those of your country of origin.

Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?

Telephone service can be quite expensive and the service may be spotty. However, Wi-Fi services are also becoming the standard though access may come with a fee. You can view rates once you register for the cruise. Some stateroom categories and loyalty program benefit levels will offer a generous amount of "Wi-Fi Time", access to the ship's internet cafe or both.

The variety in their menu is limited. Have been on few cruises with Carnival and their selection of food is much better. Had a problem with the WiFi service on board the ship. Paid 32 Euros for a connection, but was unable to use the service. It appeared that most of my data allowance was used up when I switched on my laptop. I was told that the problem was probably due to my system set to automatically update itself.
