Kochi is the capital city of the Kochi Prefecture on Shikoku island in Japan. The city is famous by the Katsuo tataki dish. Kochi is also famous for the festival it holds every year in August, called the Yosakoi. Since it is a prefectural capital, Kochi was chosen as a target by the United States during World War II.
