Deshaies is a commune in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe located in the Antilles. It is in the northwest coast of Basse-Terre Island. Many crops are grown in Deshaies such as vanilla, sugar, bananas, and coffee. Many wooden souvenirs can be bought in shops because there is a craft industry located in Deshaies.
