- Canterbury- Visit the busy market city of Canterbury, one of Great Britain’s Heritage Cities and the birthplace of Christianity in England. See the famous Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO Worland Heritage Site, or the even older St. Augustine’s Abbey just outside the city wall. Along King’s Mile, those wishing for some retail therapy can stroll through boutique shops, and cafes. Visitors also love to visit the café, country store, and cider factory in one at Cider Works where they make their own cider from their own orchard. - Kids will love a day trip to Dover Castle and large surrounding area with over 2000 years’ worth of history. Take a tour through the Great Tower, dating from the 12th century. Also experience the guided tour through the secret wartime tunnels nearby that tells the story of the British rescue and evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940.
