Tallin is a main port in the country of Estonia, and is also the capital. It is located in the Baltic Sea on the north coast. Tallina used to be called Reval in 1918 but once it became independent in 1920 it was changed to Tallinn. The port itself handles cargo and passenger ships. The port has four harbors which is Old City, Muuga, Paljassaare, and South Harbor.
The Old Town is a great place to visit when you are in Tallinn. Tourist from
all over come here every year to view the historic city. Dated back from the
11th century, the town consist of cobbled streets, fortresses, and cathedrals.
The city is divided into two parts, one being called Toompea Hill which was
mainly a residential neighborhood, and the other called the Lower Town. Great
photo opportunities on every street corner.
If you want to see polar bears and Siberian Tigers, the Tallinn Zoo is the place
to go. They also have crocodiles and chimpanzees. Plenty of cold weather animals
for your enjoyment. Petting zoos for those who want to encounter up close
animals. This is a great stop for the whole family.
