St. Anthony, with a population of about 2,800, is located on the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. The history of this city goes back to the early 1500's, when the French and Basque fisherman established a fishing port. When Jacques Cartier came landed in the settlement, in 1534, the name was changed to St. Anthony Haven.
Iceberg and whale watching is something that cannot be over-looked here. Take
excursions to the sea and visit 15,000 year old icebergs. The cold waters is
also grounds for whales. Enjoy whale watching and the views of the iceberg all

St. Anthony & Grenfell House is another tourist attraction that is worth while
to see. Learn about Sir Wilfred Grenfell, whom was called "The Doctor of the
North". Also visit modern day fishing villages located close to Labrador and the
Arctic Current.
