Overview

Montego Bay, Jamaica's "second city" (Kingston is the biggest, most populous city on the island) considers itself the "friendly city." Tourism is its mainstay, serving a heavy influx of visitors since the 1950s. Jets first touched down at Montego Bay in the early 1960s, further cementing the city's role as the island's welcome center. Today, cruise travelers add yet another dimension to Montego Bay's visitor lists.

Things to Do

Go see one of the favorite tour stops. It is the Town House, which was  built in 1765 for a wealthy sugar planter. It now houses a restaurant that serves all the island favorites.

Another historic site is the former home of the "White Witch" Rose Hall. Rose Hall may well be the most renowned estate on the island. The lavish construction was built between 1770 and 1780 by John Palmer, a "custodian" of the parish.

Or take the Kids to the Agua Sol Theme park. This is a remarkable beach which also features, go-kart racing, restaurants, tennis, entertainment, water sports and much more for your enjoyment.
