Overview

Costa Maya is small tourist resort in Mexico located between Cancun and Belize. The area has been growing quickly after construction of a large pier to accommodate cruise ships. There are several jewelry stores and many small boutique shops selling souvenir and crafty items. Costa Maya is the closest port of access to many other areas like the Mayan ruins in the Yucatan including Chacchoben and Kohunlich. The fishing village of Mahahual is a short distance south of Costa Maya. The village has beautiful soft sand beaches and a coral reef not too far off shore. There are shops, restaurants, and bars scattered everywhere for your convenience.

Things to Do

Diving is a very popular attraction here among the tourists. The perfect temperature along with warm waters make diving a superb sport here in Costa Maya. View the most beautiful corals and tropical fishes around.

Boating and sailing is also available here for those of you who want so relax out in the waters. Feel the ocean breeze and fresh air as you head out into the crystal blue waters. A great adventure for the whole family.
