Leith has been the port of Edinburgh and remains one of Scotland’s larger ports. The modern harbor is located in South Leith, but with the distinctive break-waters enclosing its entrance to the northwest.
When you get to visit the port of Leith make sure you go to the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre and Britannia Quay. The New quay edge facilities have an entertainment complex and water based sporting facilities. So take advantage of this once in a lifetime trip.
Or go to the Edinburgh Dock Maritime Centre. Where water channels flow around the public square all the way to a heritage center. See this wonderful site in a small town and enjoy.
