The Port of Tilbury is located on the River Thames at Tilbury in Essex, England. It is the principal port for London; as well as being the main United Kingdom port for the handling the importation of paper. Tilbury became the only port in the PLA to serve cruise liners, when, in 1916, it opened berths specifically for the P&O within the dock complex.
Major landmarks in Tilbury are the docks, the Tilbury Power Station, and the Tilbury Fort. Tilbury Fort has been well preserved with the exception of 19th century modifications. Tilbury Fort is open daily most of the year.
From the M25 join the A13 at junction 30. Keep left and branch onto the A1089 (signposted Tilbury and Docks). Keep following the A1089 (Ferry Road). You will find the terminal clearly signposted.
