Guaranteed Low Prices on Viking Jupiter Cruises
Viking Cruise Line did an excellent job of in organizing shore excursions and airline arrangements.
This was our seventh cruise with Viking, and we've never been disappointed. Even with some occasional, unforeseeable and unavoidable itinerary changes, this company more than makes up for it. The quality of the ships, dining, and staff service have always been top notch. Some of the included tours are not that great, and optional tour offerings tend to be very expensive.
The viking cruise around South America was wonderful but very long. The ship and crew were top notch. There were too many days at sea. Some of the tours were subpar but most were excellent. The food over all was good and varied. The silver drink package was worth the extra price for such a long trip. I would consider booking with Viking again, but not for 18 days. It was too confining. The weather was perfect however.
One of our best trips ever!! Viking was fantastic and the weather, itinerary, food, education and entertainment were all great!! Highly recommend this cruise.
Viking Cruises are always reliable-would recommend to anyone
We always enjoy cruising with Viking.
The cruise was great
An excellent cruise. The quality of the food was very good in all the restaurants. The excursions, including the included tours, were well managed and the guides were excellent. Overall it is a cruise I would highly recommend.
12 days prior to sailing itinerary changed by carrier due to coved issues. not thrilled about it but it was necessary for passenger protection
because of Covid, there were only 600 of the 930 usual guests. covid protocols kept us feeling safe at all times. we were quite spoiled
As Viking Cruises gets bigger and bigger with more ships and itineraries, I was worried about the consistent high quality we have previously experienced with our 6 Viking cruises. We were not disappointed. The port talks were wonderfully prepared and presented; the entertainment was high quality and the excursions were extremely well coordinated (as we watched the other cruise lines struggle with tenders and long lines just to get on-shore and the mass of people pushing and shoving to be first!). We booked a few more Viking cruises; we are hooked.
Our trip around Cape Horn on Viking Jupiter was wonderful despite missing our port stop in the Falkland Islands due to weather. Viking offered overnight excursion to Ighazu Falls that was fabulous and more than worth the money.
Viking cannot do enough for its customers. This was our first Viking experience and it was spectacular. The only downside was that the hours did not provide enough roaming/shopping time, and, of course, some of the local tour guides were overly loquacious. That happens on any tour.
This Viking cruise certainly exceeded our expectations.
Although the Viking Jupiter is classified as a small ship, it is really quite large. That has its benefits: several restaurants, great shows and on-board programs - but with 900 passengers you don't get to know people. Often have good conversations with people sitting near you at meals, but then never see them again. - That can be fine if you aren't looking to make friends.
Trip a mixed bag. Viking does scenic cruising, excursions to small towns very well. Excursions to cities were disappointing. Based on Edinburgh and London decided to forgo trip from Hongkong to Bancock. Maybe Polynesia later.
Booking with Linh is a winner every time! She does a great job with every detail.
I loved my Viking cruise and booked another one while still on the first.
The ship and the staff could not have been any better. The shore excursions fell a little short of our expectations. We felt some of the trips missed the best parts of the area. Our stop in Barcelona included a stop Gaudi's cathedral & we were surprised to learn that we could not go inside.
Viking cruise was fabulous
We traveled to Scandinavia on Viking Jupiter. The Tours, both included and optional were the best, consistently, we have seen. Stateroom was comfortable and meticulously maintained. The staff is top notch-helpful and friendly. Security has been beefed up and made us feel secure in port. Entertainment on board was standard. The food was acceptable, but we recommend either the Restaurant or Manfredi's. The World Cafe was ok, but tedious. Overall this was an outstanding cruise. They packed a lot in. We would definitely recommend. We booked our own air, but did an extension in Oslo with Viking handling our transfer. Of all our tours with Viking, the handling at the airport was the least attentive we have experienced. Nice bus from the hotel to the airport, but after unloading bags, we were on our own with no Viking reps to assist or provide guidance in the airport.
