Reviews for Brazil Tours and Vacations

Our tour guide was great. I have no idea why they don't allow us to stay longer in Buenos Aires' La Boca. The hotel in Buenos Aires has two towers. Prior to my lodging there, I had read bad reviews about the South tower. The single folks were sent to the Marriott's South tower. People raved about the rooms and the bathrooms in the north tower. Remember, we paid to occupy a room as if we were two folks. Either the Marriott or Gate 1 did us wrong. All the guides were great in Argentina and Brazil. The breakfast at the Almerian in Iguazu was not good. However, the hotel in itself is nice, especially the swimming area.

We should all have the same quality of hotel rooms as a group. Instead, six of us were placed in the vintage-1980's South Tower of the Marriott in Buenos Aires. The rest of the group was in the newly remodeled North Tower. It was a small detail except that the bathtubs in the South Tower were slippery and very unsafe. The North Tower had a separate stand-up shower. The situation was minor and adaptable, but ironically, 3 of the 6 had paid more because of the single supplement. I have read negative reviews about the food at this hotel, but it was fine.

Nancy R

I would not book with CostSaver again. The hotels were outdated and some where noisy, much of the tour incured additional fees to see sights. A good amount of the optionals were canceled, with no replacement options. I scrambled to find tours on my own. The tour guide was not very professional and did not really give a tour. We stayed on the bus and she gave us a VERY brief and short information--no history, nothing about Rio/ Brazil and seemed more interested in getting us to spend money to fuel the Brazilian economy. One restaurant we were not told did not include drinks, these drinks they charged us high prices and was a surprise to all guests on tour. The Argentinian part of the tour was amazing because they hired out another guide who pointed out sites, we even were able to step out to visit it and learn about the history and culture--what a tour should be about! She even told us to beware of pickpocketers, how to be safe in Argentina, and even tips on avoiding unnecessary costs, to what is and is not included. She was friendly and informative, unlike our primary guide, Gio. The third hotel we stayed in by the Igasu Falls was terrible and service was very bad, they ripped everyone off charging 4times the price of water down the street at the market and lied to us saying there were not grocery stores around when it was a short 10 minute walk.
