Quick Facts

Monaco has a Mediterranean climate with temperatures reaching the 80s and dropping to the 50s in the cooler season. The temperatures are very pleasant most of the year so it is always a pleasant time to travel to Monaco and the best part is that there are many activities year-round.

  • Summer - June to August

Many visitors enjoy Monaco in May and June. These are often regarded as the best months to visit Monaco because of the incredible weather. Of course, many tourists flock to Monaco during this season, so you'll certainly encounter crowds. However, you're still bound to enjoy yourself. An added bonus if you visit in May is the opportunity to catch the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

  • Spring/Autumn - March to May/September to November

On a broader scale, it's common to visit Monaco from April through October. The weather is quite a bit warmer than it is in the spring or autumn, but you can take full advantage of the wonderful swimming conditions and the exciting nightlife. Fun events in this season include the Bal dEte and Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival.

  • Winter - December to February

Generally, the winter is not as popular for Monaco tours. You may be surprised to learn that Monaco actually gets cold winters, with average lows getting down into the 40s. You won't be able to enjoy the waters, and many outdoor activities aren't preferable in the winter. If you do decide to visit in this season, however, you may get to enjoy the Christmas Magic in Monte Carlo event in December.

Reviews for Monaco Tours and Vacations

I highly recommend the Best of France with Trafalgar. The itinerary was what I was what I had anticipated and the Travel Director and local specialists were all very good.

Linda H

Our Trafalgar tour "TRADITIONAL EUROPE" which we booked through Affordable Tours, was amazing and everything we hoped for. The tour was on a fast pace which we had expected with the tour consisting of 9 countries and 25 cities in 18 days. My wife and I being 75 years old spent two months walking each morning before the tour which paid off. We had six of us on the tour including our two grand daughters, ages 13 and 15 who had the best time of their lives. The food was excellent with most of the hotels first class and centrally located. The tour director, was great, well experienced and well prepared. He has a friendly personality bringing the group together with us making many new friends. The bus driver, was friendly and very experienced keeping us safe and always on a timely schedule. Save your pennies in advance and take as many if not all of the excursions that are offered to make the most of your trip.

Richard B

4th trip with Trafalgar, never been disappointed.
