Reviews for Slovakia Tours and Vacations
Due to a 3 hour flight delay at Newark, we missed our connecting flight from Vienna to Budapest. We were ensured our luggage would be on the next the available flight which left us with a 13 hour delay to Budapest. Upon arrival, we found our luggage was not on the flight. Despite numerous calls, Austrian Air was unable to provide us with any updated information regarding the whereabouts of our luggage and when it would be received. Our luggage arrived the following evening in Budapest without any email notification. Needless to say, we will not be booking with Austrian Air in future. All of the hotels were centrally located and within walking distance to local venues. However, with the exception of the Kempinski Hotel, all hotels were disappointing with meals and air conditioning. The Hilton Park Hotel took 45 minutes and 2 phone calls to provide us with ice and our room was cleaned after 5 pm (only upon a phone call to housekeeping.) Our Affordable Customer Service Agent, was outstanding and always available to respond to our many questions. She was extremely knowledgeable of the countries we were visiting and made helpful suggestions. Our Tour Director and Bus Driver were exceptional and well-committed to ensuring our utmost satisfaction. Optional tours were excellent and very enjoyable; albeit pricey. Overall, we would not hesitate to book subsequent trips with Affordable Tours and Insight Vacations.
Lori N
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour as it touched base on a lot of places worthwhile visiting in each of the countries. Our tour director was thorough in his explanation of the sites, etc., and went out of the way to help any one who had questions. On top of it, he had a real good sense of humor and kept the crowd going all the time - never a dull moment! The hotels were superb, centrally located and close to all necessities. A tour well worth for any one!
Shelton D
Globus provided a diverse itinerary. Tour director was personable, caring and extremely knowledgeable. Breakfasts were excellent. However, most dinners included in the package were disappointing- either insufficient quantity or quality with limited choices. Wine pours were below standard amount.
